I have been suffering for a very long time. I have seen doc after doc, and all they ever seem to do is give me meds for Depression and Axiety. I have always believed that their is a physical underlying cause of all my symptoms, including my ADD and Stage 4 Endometriosis. It seems... depending on the Doctor I see, it is a question of what came first... the chicken or the egg. Most... always believe that I was born with a genetic predisposition to depression and anxiety, and simply will not do any further testing. There is also mounting evidence that Panic Attacks could actually be partial seizures, in some people. I have never been checked for epilepsy, and when I mentioned this to my doctor, she just said she believed that I have depression / axiety, that it is genetic, and would not even consider having me test for partial seizures / epilepsy. I was looking through some past blood tests and came across a d-dimer of 2300. When I asked my MD about it, she said that the d-dimer is not a good test, and refused to re-check it. I have Photo sensitivity, feel like I will pass out if I sit in the sun too long. I feel twitching all over my body and have heart palpatations. I have been reading about Hemex Labs and their thoughts about hypercoagulation. It does make a lot of sense to me, even as a possible cause of my panic attacks, as I believe that thick blood would cause poor circulation to the brain. My limbs constantly fall asleep or tingle. I don't believe there is a doctor in Michigan ( near Ann Arbor ) that would even understand all of this. What should I do ??? Guest guest
{Moderator: Please trim posts} Anona.....if you are looking for a good neurologist who knows about CFS, dr. benjamin natleson in NJ might be a good option. i have never seen him myself....  d-dimer means you have infection or inflammation of some kind.  there is always dr. a. martin lerner in bloomfield MI but he must be 90 by now! still practicing though. CFS specialist with interest in the heart and antivirals.   ________________________________ From: mary marcus <mjklein8408@...> " " < > Sent: Monday, July 16, 2012 7:46:29 PM Subject: Re: Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Stage 4 Endometriosis and Panic attacks...  fyi...anxiety and panic attacks are far more common in patients with autonomic neuropathy  have to wonder if many 'illnesses' arent tied together dont know about depression...for a long time i have wondered if cfs didnt have a neurologic component..i too have add treated for depression, anxiety...i ended up at the mayo clinic for my neuropathy diagnosis and many years ago was diagnosed with cfs by a dr in royal oak and at U of M..so many symptoms overlap     m       ps there is a dr of neurology at wayne state i am thinking of going to...read his research and like what i have read..i wonder if he couldnt send a patient to a good cfs dr  not that it is popular to have cfs these days... ________________________________ From: anonamissemail <mailto:anonamissemail%40> mailto:%40 Sent: Monday, July 16, 2012 1:15 PM Subject: Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Stage 4 Endometriosis and Panic attacks...  Please help. Guest guest
Hi, You should trust yourself and if you know that there is something physically wrong with you, you need to find someone to treat it. Your symptoms are similar to those many of us have had. If there is an ME/CFS support group in your area, look online or in the phone book and contact them for recommended doctors. Perhaps someone here will know of doctors in your area. Endometriosis can be a sign of low thyroid hormone. Just a thought, not a diagnosis. Don't give up find the help you need and you can feel better. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > Please help. > > I have been suffering for a very long time. Guest guest
{BEV - Please trim your posts - it requires a lot of work on my part to trim every single post!} Hi EveryOne, CFS has been described as a neuro-immune illness so that includes the nervous and immune systems. I had central nervous system symptoms like encephalitis and meningitis for three years every time I had a relapse. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis definitely include neurological symptoms. Not ever body gets them but a lot do. If the cause is a virus or bacteria or retrovirus or mycoplasma, they can all get past the blood brain barrier and infect the nervous system. Hopefully there will be treatments for all of this soon.
