The unfortunate part is many of them they really believe in what they are doing and have themselves convinced that they are " good " and caring doctors. I disagree to this statement as being accurate in many instance. When I first became ill, I was within the UCSD Health Care System. There is a DEFINATE tone of " if I step outside the box, my .....is on the line. " These boys know the hand that feeds them. Hypocratic oath in many instances is in realty Hypocritic Oath. I actually had one allergist from UCSD explain hypersensitivity pneuomonitis to me. Acknowledge my symptons as HP and then have the gaul to say he could not run tests for it. DIRECT QUOTE " It's just not something UCSD does. " They don't listen to the extended descriptions of sufferers that go far beyond the " allergy " concept and are indicativee of a long term accumulations of ionophore neurotoxins as a dysregulator of immune response. Yea they do. They are simply intimidated by the potential loss of funding. And it is unfortunate that by acclaiming those more enlightened physicians who have become " mold doctors " merely because they believe and affirm your illness, but who misinterprete the etiology is actually supporting the views of mold denialists who maintain the position that if mold illness is truly an allergy, then any complaints that go beyond the known characteristics of allergic responses must be somatization or wild exaggerations. How much money do you think Allergists are making in the courtroom denying the more serious illnesses of fungal exposure? Besides being given funding for research grants by stakeholder industries, the dollar amount for being an " expert " witness denying these illnesses is perversely obscene. In the Kilian case of Arizona, Dr. Saxon, co-author of the ACOEM Mold Statement, was paid close to $70,000 to say Ms. Kilian's tremors were psychological in origin. Saxon is an ALLERGIST. He is not even quailified to testify of psychological disorders. Even sympathetic allergists and toxicologists must be made aware of Dr Shoemakers concepts for their support to be truly effective. True. And is also true, there are treatments from both a toxicological and an immunological aspect that we, as ones who have been excessively exposed to mold, respond to. If I, as a Realtor, can understand this concept, then why can't those who are supposedly medically trained understand it? Answer: The enticement of Money and the intimidation of Retribution!!!!
