Angel,

The produce is labelled 'conventionally grown'/non organic in yellow tag I

believe and organics are all labelled organic with green tags.

As for conventially grown vegetables, if there is pesticide in soil, food

will pull it up into fruit and vegetables. I think that is real danger. On

the surface, it can be washed off. If it comes off so easily that their

sprinkler moves it from one food to another, it should rinse off easily at

home. If sprinkler can't budge it, it won't be on the product next to it.

That's what I think anyway. I buy both though, since I can't everything I

need in organics but I try to buy organics only. Also the organic fruit is

just too expensive for me.

Incidentally my post is worded incorrectly. I have a friend who comes with

me and does shop for organics but then she goes to another grocery to get

things she couldn't get there that are conventially grown, maybe just a

couple of items. Regular grocery stores are beginning to carry organics so

they have to compete to keep their customers. My regular grocery has

started an organic section in the produce area and dairy.

People that shop for groceries are adults and can read the labels.

I expect to pay more for quality food, but not food that is no better than

the regular stuff.
