Question on Monitoring HIV in the Indian Context

Dear FORUM,

I was reviewing NACO guidelines on ARV's and I have this question.

In the follow up of a patient, which of the two

-WHO Staging or

-CDC classification; is being used in India?

The criteria for different stages in these types overlap /differ.

I would like to hear from people who are treating and following up

HIV patients. Which of these is more practicle in the Indian setting?

Any other information on this would be appreciated.
