Guest guest
Hi all - I had to share this with everyone as it is so important. I jsut finished watching a program on DW (Deutsche Welle - the German cable broadcasting company) this program was in English ... It is about the neurotoxins in clothing from the third world shipped to western countries (think t-shirts from China or India). Two women in the program are horribly damaged. I could not bear to watch them and broke down. All from exposure to " unpacking clothing for departmetn stores shipped from India " where they used BANNED toxic chmicals to treat the cotton and pesticides sprayed on the cotton in the fileds. This is of utmost importance for all of you to watch. It supports our toxicity claims as the victems complain about the EXACT same symtpoms we have from neurotoxins from mold and chemicals. Below are the times it will be shown again. Please watch. I will try and find a transcript of the show to post at a later date. I am hoping to get someone to tape it for me so I can make copies for anyone who wants it. The report will make you outraged and sick to your stomach. Workers in the field using this stuff, hospitals nearby treating as many as 30-40 workers A DAY, are found with tremors, brain damage and eventually die. There's no way in hell I am EVER buying anything made in India or China again. How the ehll can we get well from mold neurotoxins if we are exposed to low levels in our clothes daily? The clothing shipped is purchased by US retialers as well - not jsut Germany. ---------- Thursday, 14.07.2005 18:30 ....(Further Broadcast Times: Fri. 06:30 UTC, Sun. 00:30 UTC + 12:30 UTC) Please note: Programmes subject to change at short notice. Toxic Textiles? Are the sales personnel of Germany's clothing retailers at risk of being poisoned? The textiles they sell are contaminated with highly toxic chemicals. The chemical PCP (Pentachlorophenol), which is prohibited in Germany, is applied to garments to protect them during transport to Europe. Other hazardous pesticides used in the cultivation of cotton in Asia have also been found in textiles. A camera crew picks up the trail in India, following the toxic garments on their way to Germany.
