Somewhere on all air conditioners is a drain line. Yours is probably

plugged up, leading to water accumulation in the drain pan, which is then

overflowing all over the inside of the unit, then leaking out into the

insulation. And, as you have noticed by the smell, this has led to mold

growth.

Drain lines commonly get plugged with mold. It is a good idea to have an

access panel on the side of your AC, so that 2-3 times per summer cooling

season a little dilute Clorox can be poured into the drain pan, killing the

mold there and in the drain line. Now that you have active mold growth

elsewhere in the AC from the overflow, sufficient to cause mold odor, the AC

may require thorough cleaning by a professional familiar with mold problems.

Subject: about ten gallons of water collected on top of the insulation under

my trailer

I reported this yesterday. Saturday I crawled under there and slit several

holes so the water could drain. It is directly underneath my a/c in the

trailer. Last night the mold odor coming out of my ducts was much stronger.

I slept last night like I was on an LSD trip. I kept trying to get out of

bed but I felt so drugged. I finally got up and took a quick shower and laid

in my car with the windows open for about three hours. I feel better but not

strong enough to plan anything. Should I go to a motel or what? Should I try

and lay in the shade, it is close to 100 degrees now. The water collecting

on top of the insulation must have been causing my illness here for several

years. whenever I would start to feeling too bad here, I would jump in my

car and go to Mexico or somewhere to try and get better. I do not know how

long the water has been under there? I feel like suing the mobile home

manufacturer as the a/c is not draining but to on top of the insulation. Of

course that is if I

make it thru this episode. I feel too bad and weak now to even take off

anywhere. What should I do to try to get through this for now and then what

should I do for later. Everything I own is in this trailer.
