I DON'T CARE

Sunday, 16 March 2008

If you're reading this message and you're somewhere between the ages of 30-70, chances are you have been on quite a few diets during the course of your life. When I wrote my very first book, Never Say Diet, I did a chapter on all of the diets that were out there back in the 80's. And, I have to tell you, I probably tried all of them!

As a kid, I tried the Tuna, Tomato and Hard-Boiled Egg Diet. Then I was put on the Grapefruit Diet. Next, I tried eating only one-meal-a-day. (Unfortunately, that one meal usually lasted from 4 to 6:30PM!) I tried the Rice Diet, the High-Protein Diet, and the Vegetarian Diet. I also tried diet drinks, diet pills and diet shots. One day, I tried adding up all of the money I'd spent on so many crazy diets. It equaled the cost of about 200 sparkly tank-tops!And with all of the money I'd spent, the really bad thing is that I hadn't learned anything, really, on any of those diets. I just did them and kept right on trying the next zany diet plan that came along. I was always looking for the "magic diet" but I never found it.

As I said at the beginning of this message, I'm sure you've tried many, many diets, too. And let's face it, when you've been on so many diets and you're still overweight or obese, after a while, you tend to get a little disgusted with them all. A lot of people who end up disgusted about how their weight is going have tried so many diets that didn't work that they just don't want to even try dieting anymore.Well, let me tell you something. I don't care how many diets you've been on. I don't care about if you went to Weight Watchers meetings, only for a little while. I don't care if you've spent and wasted as much money as I did on diets. I don't care about how many pounds you've gained and lost during your diet era. You've simply just got to try to lose the weight...again!

The reason my first book was called Never Say Diet was because I was sick of diets, too. See, if you take the word "diet" and break it into syllables, the first syllable is "die." Hey, losing weight is not about dying and that's why I called my very first weight-loss program...Live It! We all want life and that's what my program was all about. From the Live- It program, I created Deal-A-Meal and, later, my FoodMover program, which thousands of you buy every week. All these years later, my program is still all about helping you to live. So, please, forgive yourself for all of the diets you've tried in the past and move on now to a healthy food plan that will give you the weight-loss results you've always wanted.Love,
