Moderator] India Country program estimate $14.0 million: Estimated other ODA $8.6 million: Estimated total aid flows $22.6 million Australia will support three major new activities in India in 2003- 04. Technical assistance will be provided to the governments and communities of Shillong and Gangtok to improve water and environmental sanitation services for around 400,000 people. This is part of an innovative partnership program that includes the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank in efforts to improve regional water and sanitation services. With nearly one per cent of India's adult population (or four million people) estimated to be HIV positive, Australia will help reduce the spread of the epidemic in Delhi and in three north-eastern states.
