Debs,

I know that you can probably get a low sodium chicken broth so that

should take care of the sodium problems that you might have. Have you ever

had chicken soup made by a Greek person? My frien also does an egg drop but

he also adds lemon juice to the broth. Now I really like lemons although I

was iffy about it in my broth but it is really delicious. I hope that you

will be feeling much better soon. I am still having problems with my feet and

it's been so hot and humid here that I have a tendency to get stiff too, but

overall I really can't complain much. My mom and I are going on a cruise and

it leaves from Miami so maybe I'll see some of your cabana boys hanging

around and they can come fan me and feed me grapes<G> Let me know if you try

making your own and how it came out. Take care. Barb

OOOOHHHHHHH Barb,

I love lemon chicken soup!!!!! When I would go see my sister in Chicago, on

Saturday night, we would go to this one Greek coffee shop and we would call

them to make sure they had it and then go order a big old bowl of it with a

Greek olive cheeseburger! Now you can see why I have a tummy problem! Being

here in south Florida, they are not too familiar with Greek cooking,

everything is Cuban or Creole cooking or the New York deli. After 24 years

here, my husband and I have adapted, but still love to go " home " for some

good cooking!

Even the " gyros " aren't the same as they are back home! I used to work with

a woman who was 100% Greek, so I had the best of the best. Again, can you

see why I have tummy troubles! LOL. I never thought of making the

adjustments to the soup thing. I will keep you posted and thanks for your

suggestions!

Gee I hope your feet start feeling better. Nothing worse, than painful

" puppies " . At least on the cruise, you can just sit and relax and be treated

like a princess! Where are you going on your cruise and when are you going?

I think the heat and humidity has zapped most of us on our butts! This is

one of the hottest summers I can remember in a long time!!!!!!

Gentle, tender, cooler weather, angel hugs,

Barb,

Enjoy your cruise! Cruising is a great vacation. There are definitely

plenty of cabana boys that

hang around the pool serving drinks. When you see them I hope it makes you

chuckle.

Low sodium and MSG free would be the best. Canned chicken broth is loaded

in MSG, but

they do make it without it. I¹m going to have to try this soup!

Howdy Iris,

Yep, as soon as I get off that plane from Florida in Chicago, my sisters RUNS

me over to White Castle for food!!!!!! It is less than a mile from her

house. We can get frozen White Castle here at the grocery store, but ya know

it just ain't the same! Gotta have the smell, and the grease. See, any

wonder WHY I have tummy troubles!

My sister used to own a second house down in Watseka (sp?) just outside of

Kankakee. She now rents it out. It was a little farm house. Unfortunately,

we are city girls! LOL!

Yep, soup, soup and more soup are on my meal plan this weekend! This bunch

of people are the absolute BEST!!!!!!

Sleep well tonight,

Gentle, tender, Mr. Sandman angel hugs,

Dear Debs - My husband grew up in Kankakee (sp?) and

every time we visit, our first stop has to be at White

Castle for sliders. That lemon soup sounds soooooo

good! Maybe the cabana boys should make you some

because I know with all of their talents they must be

really good cooks, expecially anything spicy!

Yep, Debs,

If you visit White Castle at least 3 times a week you

don't have to use a moisturizer because of all of the

grease in the air. There is one that is not very far

from the airport and we usually hit it on our way to

Watseka were my husband's mother still lives. I

always tell him, it is a great place to visit but I am

a city girl and all that corn and beans makes me

nervous. He swears, when it is quiet at night, you

can hear the corn grow! I know, sounds like a

King book. What we need is a way to ship them hot from

Chicago down to us. actually brings a cooler

when we drive, stops in St.Louis (the last place to

get sliders) on the way home and loads up on them to

take home. Talk about devoted!

Re: Mold Hit Feel Like?

I can tell if I get a " mold hit " because at first I get tingling on my tongue

and my lips feel like there is something on them - like chalk or dust.

I went to a friends house the other day, who had their house remediated from

huge amounts of mold (A $125,000 remediation), and they didn't get rid of their

contaminated furniture or personal stuff. They tried hepa vacuuming and thought

all was well.

I walked into there and got " hit " with in 3-5 minutes of being in the house. I

told them about the " hit " and they said that they aren't getting sick, but do

feel a scratchy throat. HELLO????!...

I recommended getting rid of their stuff, but they are not going to do it. They

had to pay $65,000 of the $125,000 remediation cost, and I am sure they don't

want to spend anymore money...

But, I'll tell ya what - nothing and I mean NOTHING is worth keeping if it is

making you sick.

Dear Friends at Sickbuildings :

I have been a 'quiet' member here since the late 1990's, contacted black mold at

work and took it home, where my wife and I suffered greatly from its effects.

Finally, a few years ago we summoned the strength to just 'get out' and we moved

from Longboat Key to Orlando.  While here some friends from Trinidad (a culture

that believes in more natural cures) put me on to a fruit juice from the Goji

berry. They believe that this berry is one the reason that people from that

part of the Himalayas live to be 100-120 years old.

I have been taking their juice and vitamins for a few months now and am finally

getting over the more chronic effects of the mold exposure. Additionally, I

have a cataract from some laser surgery (early 1990's) and my eyesight in the

bad eye is getting noticeably better (I can read big type on a computer screen

where before I could not).

The company that makes the juice is one of those MLM companies, which I would

normally avoid like the plague, but this one is a member of the BBB since 1996

and when I checked them out they had not had a consumer complaint to the BBB in

the past 3 years.

Since my wife and I use this Goji juice, we set up our little boy as a

distributor, so he could earn a little bit off our spending. If you would like

to try the Goji Juice go to www.peterthomasboyle.freelife.com We have been very

happy with our use of their product. You don't have to worry tho, the company

has a 90 day money back guarantee if you do not like the product, just send it

back.

I hope you all have as good as results as I have. There are so many 'take a

pill' pusher's out there (one of the doctors we saw for the mold effects wanted

to put my wife on Paxil), maybe it's time for a natural fix?!?!

All the best,

Tom
