Guest guest
MAY I LOOK INTO YOUR FRIDGE? Sunday, 30 March 2008 Well, I cleaned out my closets for seven hours yesterday. By the time I was done, I had twelve bags of clothing to give to Goodwill! I know some people will be very happy with the clothes that will be coming their way thanks to my cleaning efforts yesterday. And how about you? Did you clean out your closets yesterday? I hope that you at least got them a little bit more organized. Today, our cleaning spree will continue. For today, we'll be cleaning out the fridge! And there's only one way to clean your fridge and, no...it's not to eat everything in it! LOL.In order to clean your fridge, you begin by removing everything from it. And I mean everything. That means every egg, every condiment, every little mysterious thing wrapped in foil...take them all out. Remove all of those Tupperware bowls, too. Then take everything out of the drawers in the bottom of your fridge and let's get ready to clean!A little warm water and a towel will be just fine. Clean the interior sides of your fridge then clean all of the racks. Clean them until they sparkle. Make them look like your fridge really belongs to Mr. Clean! Before you begin putting things back into your fridge, the first item I want you to put in there is some Arm & Hammer baking soda. (It helps eliminate those odors, you know!) I don't use the actual Arm & Hammer box, though. I found the cutest little jar in a Lillian Vernon catalog that you pour the baking soda into before placing it in the fridge. Now, before anything else goes back in, you need to take a good look at all of the stuff you have removed from your fridge. Let's begin with the condiments. I'm talking about your mustard, ketchup, salad dressings and worcestershire sauce. Check the expiration dates to make sure they're all still fresh and okay to eat.Now take another towel with some warm water and clean the sides of all the bottles and plastic containers. Next, open up your fridge drawers and line them with foil. Then put back all of your produce, nice and neatly. Now, I want you to stand back and ask yourself this question..."What needs to be in here?" Separate the stuff that needs to be in your fridge from the stuff that doesn't. Put back all of the foods that belong there. I'm talking about those foods that will help you stay on your healthy lifestyle and throw those "bad" foods right into the garbage. And when everything is done, I want you to stand back and look at what you have created. You've created a fridge that is now going to help you stay on program and lose weight. A lot of you have empty fridges. And that would be those of you who don't like to cook or those of you who like to eat out a lot. And, I'm sorry to tell you, many of you who have these kinds of lifestyles will never lose the weight you want to lose. So, your fridges can't be too full or too empty, they have to be stocked just right. I want you to do through the FoodMover booklet and look at all of the condiments you get for free. Then look at all of the vegetables you get for free. I want you to fill your fridges with the foods you'll need to help you stay on the right track.Ding-Dong! "Hey, honey! It's at the front door! He wants to take a look in our fridge.""What? Tell we don't have a fridge!"You've been warned! Hey, you'll never know when I might want to open the door on that big white box in your kitchen. Hmmm, what shall we clean tomorrow?Love,
