WITHOUT EXERCISE

There is a very nice gentleman who belongs to our Clubhouse and he finally decided that it was time for him to shed some pounds. And shed some pounds he did! He watched what he ate. He measured his food. He didn't skip any meals. He drank lots of water and, in time, he went from size 60 down to size 36 pants!

Oh, his was such a terrific story and we all applauded his success. But when I asked him what kind of exercise he was doing, he told me that he hated exercise and didn't exercise at all. What?!He also told me that he had a lot of excess skin as a result of losing so much weight which he didn't like a bit.

Now this man is not alone. There're a lot of people who try to lose weight by only watching their portions. Of course, I congratulate anyone who has lost weight by eating healthy.But it's a fact, without exercise, you can't look your best with your weight-loss. If this gentleman would have started exercising while he was losing weight, his body would be a different shape today. And he would also not have the lose skin problem as bad as he has it right now.

Without exercise, your body just doesn't feel so good. See, your body was made to move and to dance. Without exercise, your bones take on a different shape, especially in the spine area. Without exercise, you won't have the best posture. Without exercise, you won't have as healthy a heart. Hey, your heart loves all of that sweatin' the rest of your body does. And the bonus is that exercise keeps your heart in better shape, too. But wait, there's more...Without exercise, you'll have poorer circulation which can lead to a whole host of medical problems later on. Your stress-level also builds up without exercise. And without exercise, you won't burn as many calories as your body needs to burn.

So if you're watching your portions, drinking your water and not skipping any meals, I say...hip, hip, hooray for you! But if you're one of the people trying to get healthy without exercise, I say you have got to change your tune and start singing...Let's Get Physical!For those of you who are not exercising while losing weight, when you do start to work out, you'll be amazed at the results besides just losing more weight! I wish you all could be with me in class when I teach at Slimmons tonight. It's such a happy place and I'm so happy helping my friends in class fall in love with exercise by working out with me.Start moving more today...with more exercise!Love,
