Guest guest
Hi my name is Kathy. I am over weight 100 pounds. I have been trying to lose weight sense sept.I started out at 245. Was on a diet and working out in sept to oct . Then I stopped. I lost 10 pounds. Then in the winter I did keep it off and can't understand how. I was snacking on anything I could get my hands on. Well I got married in Dec and we got insurance. It took me awhile to find me a doctor. Because the last Doctor was mean and really hurt my feelings. He made me not trust doctors. He just came out said you are too fat that is why you have all these problems. He charged me 120 bucks for a visit and sent me home feeling like shit. Which I understood I was over weight and knew it. But for him to be fat too to be so mean the way he said it. Well any ways I just got a new doctor which is female. Really nice and like her from the start. Was put back on blood pressure meds. Told her I wanted to lose weight. When I was there I 233 so I lost 2 more pounds. Well I went to the doctor on Tuesday and now I am working out on treadmill 2 times a day. Speed walking 30 to 45 mins each time. Blood pressure meds have help me feeling better. So with my workouts I walk about 3 miles a day. Goal to work out more mins and keep eatting healthy. I have lost 3 more pounds. Go back to doctor next Monday for test. Going to do blood work and check everything. We keep checking in to let you know how I am doing with working out and eating. Goal weight is 135 . But first goal is to lose aleast 20 pounds by May 15. Hope I can make so friends for support and also give support. Forgot to tell you I am 37 female with 2 kids 2 and 6. I also love my husband very much and happy being married. See you all later Kat

TEAM-ISM (OSHA INDIA) From: Cyndee Howell <cyndeehowell@...> Subject: About me Date: Monday, August 3, 2009, 3:42 PM Hi All, I am a land medic..from Georgia, US. My husband is a boat captain in the Gulf of Mexico and we have just started a new business called ROC GOM, LLC. Basically what we do is clean helipads and jumpdecks on the oil rigs. I am also working on compiling numbers for a research project (yes, I have gone back to college and am majoring in Business Management due to a deadly latex allergy that has recently surfaced after 25 years of being a medic) on injuries on oil rigs. I would be grateful for any help that you can supply to me. I am mainly concerned with everyday injuries such as falls and kitchen injuries. I am mom to 5 and grandmother to 2. My oldest child is 24 and he is an aide to the Governor of Ga, and is very interested in pushing for rights for firefighters and medics as he has been around it whole life. My second is 22 and is in college to teach high school history and was also raised in the fire station but can't stand the sight of blood or to see anyone suffer so this was definitely not the profession for her. My youngest 3 daughters are not at all interested in emergency medicine, so I gave up on them. I was raised in a fire station and most of my family still works in public service as firefighters, medics and police officers. I have a great respect for you that work offshore and take my hat off to you. You take a job that is hard to begin with and add even more danger to it. Thank you all for all you do. I never really thought about who took care of the oil workers until my husband and I married (2 years now....lost my first hubby to complications from diabetes he was a medic also) and traveled out to the rigs with my husband. So thanks for all you do!! Have a great day!! Cyndee Howell
