Guest guest
Hi everyone... I saw the cardiologist today was declared healthy... well, healthy as someone with hypertension, typeII diabetes, sleep apnea, and all my other ailments can be I LOVED their scales... they had me weighing in at 368 lbs!!! The person who checked me in was like " WOW you've lost some weight... " the Dr didn't even notice. I am down 16 lbs since I was in there last. Oh well..... he just went on about how I should get fit... even if I don't lose weight I should work on my exercise and so on. He couldn't even remember exactly why he had ordered my tests in the first place. He thought I was having gastric bypass surgery and *that* was why he had ordered them. UGH... I give up! Oh well.. onward and downward! Today has been good for me! I was in town and didn't stop anywhere food related! I hadn't eaten and was hungry, but waited until I got home. I didn't get breakfast in because I was busy, so I ate my fruit and yogurt when I got home. I will have something for lunch and my dinner... well, I am working so we will see if I even fit it in. Soooo I should be fine calorie wise today, just need to get that exercise in! a

I remember the first year, when I lost 20-25 lbs he acted indifferent and I finally said: YES I know I need to lose more, but you need to acknowledge I have lost this much (( wanted it in my health record LOL )) so he did. The 2nd year, I think I had lost another 20-25 lbs by then (closing in on 50) and he was much quicker to comment/compliment without prodding. Hopefully at this next year's appt I will be at 75 lbs gone - that would be neat!! Keep up the great work, 16 lbs is nothing to shake a stick at!! What is it they say: 10 lbs is a great loss for our joints, etc?? in WA310/249.0/170 (-61 total, 79 to go, 9 from half-way point) I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it! -Art Need a new ride?
