I took the bike out and rode !!

I did about 1.5 miles total with some very slight hills, stopped twice to catch my breath and certainly didn't break any speed records - I think it was 15-20 minutes. But I'm not gonna minimize this; going out there and, yes, making a bit of a fool of myself - that's a HUGE step. HUGE.

I feel not completely exhausted, but I feel like I got a workout and my face feels flushed. So this was probably about right for a start. It has also been a LONG time since I sat on a bike seat, so I'm sure I will be reminded of how long in the next couple of days.I need to talk to hubby and daughter about the mechanics of the bike. It kept arbitrarily changing gears on me, and I'm not sure why. So, that was a bit startling and I wasn't sure what to do next.

I'm going to have a brief rest in front of TV and then start dinner.
