Guest guest
I got up early this morning and my mom was still sick so she wanted me to take her to Urgent Care. We got there and they did the normal check in stuff and mom's blood pressure was 195/100. She also had blurred vision and numbness in her face. So, we went in for bronchitis and ended up getting sent to the ER for a possible stroke. We got to the ER and we didn't have to wait too long. The ER doc did a CAT scan on mom and it showed some abnormalities and an old stroke from where she had one in 2002. The decided that she had a TIA (mini stroke) and kept her to do some more tests on her. The dr came in to her room this evening and said he was going to put her on coumadin and since your blood has to be monitored really close they are going to keep her in the hospital to regulate the coumadin level. So, that is probably a good thing. I guess she will be there a few days. So, needless to say, I didn't get any exercise in and only 20 ounces of water. I also didn't get my calories counted. I had slim fat for breakfast and then about 3 this afternoon I had a small piece of ham, 1/2 cup of potato salad and 3/4 cup of baked beans. I also had a handfull of bbq chips. So, that is how my day went. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
