Guest guest
HOPE YOU'RE READY, CARNIVAL! Sunday, 27 April 2008 I'm all packed and ready to head for the ship in a few hours. As I told you yesterday, thankfully, the port is really not too far from my home so it'll only take a little while to get there.I have to tell you that the Mexican Riviera cruise is my favorite of all. I just love the people of Mexico, their culture...and their guacamole! LOL. Here's our agenda for today. And whether you're taking the Cyber Cruise as a Clubhouse member or just plan to read my daily messages from the cruise, I want you to make the same commitment we're all making at sea. And that commitment is to be healthy, exercise daily and to stay inspired and motivated!Once I put away my luggage, we'll have a staff meeting to go over everything with a fine tooth comb. I have such a great gang of people working with me. Well, I don't want you to think that we're a real "gang." LOL. We're just a group of friends who get together every year to make these great cruises happen. W. will be there along with Janet P., Elijah J., Darlene F., my manager, C. and the wonderful P. our Cruise To Lose liaison from Carnival Cruise Lines. You would think that we were all just having one big laugh party when we all get together. After our meeting, we'll all head down for the first meeting with all of our Cruisers in the ship's Butterflies Lounge. Our first session will be called Get The Party Started! This whole week's theme is not just about my birthday. We're here to celebrate everyone's birthday! And on this first day of our journey, we'll be celebrating the months of January and February's birthdays. We'll be covering Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. I'll be talking about the traits of these birthday folks which are ambition, independence and compassion.I asked everyone to weigh in before they came on the cruise and I hope they all did. See, it's good to have a starting point. I will be chatting about everyone setting realistic goals for the week. I really need to set the right tone for the cruise. Everyone has to really get and stay focused on why they are here. And I want them all to have fun while they're at sea on the Cruise To Lose, too! We'll have our mandatory lifeboat drill this afternoon and after that...we set sail for Mexico!I do hope everyone gets their luggage and hey...I hope I get mine! Just to be on the safe side, I always carry my tank tops and shorts with me and never let them out of my sight. After we cast off, we'll all meet for our first dinner together in the Normandie Restaurant. After dinner, we'll have our orientation meeting called Party Planning this year. I will focus on teaching everyone about the exercise classes we'll be taking all week. And I'll also introduce the staff to everyone. They all come up to the mike and say something silly and funny to our Cruisers. We'll also going to be talking about our food programs for the week as our goal is to stay between 1500-1600 calories each day we're away at sea. Before we end our meeting, I'll tell everyone to head to their cabins to get a good night's sleep because we've got a full day tomorrow!Whew! I'm exhausted already just telling you all this! Hope you have a great first day on our Cruise To Lose!Love,
