Guest guest
Dear list, Can mold cause food sensitivities? ... and do they resolve when the mold situation is treated appropriately? thanks. Blake
Guest guest
I didn't see an answer to this so I will take a stab at it . In my case the mold exposure did cause food sensitivities. For instance I was always able to eat eggs and suddenly now when I eat one, I itch and burn all over. There are many I can no longer eat and others added to the list because they are made, or contain mold and/or yeast. The only things I have been able to eat without having a serious reaction is: (BTW all of these must be absolutely fresh) Meat (NO hamburger) Chicken Fish Vegetables (all vegetables, especially green ones or cauliflower, cabbage) Fruits limited to: lemons, blueberries, pineapple and water melon. Pasta made from Quinoa Yeast free or sprouted bread Butter, olive oil, flaxseed oil, onions, LOTS of garlic Distilled water or ultra purified water is the only thing I can drink. Tea, with decaf coffee and fresh lemonade made with water I can tolerate. - No eggs, tuna, peanut butter, lunch meats (even without nitrites), certain cheeses, absolutely NO soda of any kind, No beer, wine, alcohol.
