Well, I did not go to WW this morning. My dear sister, who attends with me, is in Dublin, Ireland this week (she needed a Mental Health Week, I'm SO JEALOUS), and this was the most convenient time to arrange a web meetup. At one point, I had Mom on the land line, sister on the cell phone, and two computer monitors watching two webcams, trying to find her, which we did. The saving grace is she had a huge bouquet of flowers and so we "met" on the south end of the O'Connell Bridge over the River Liffey. I can't wait to see her REAL pix (she borrowed my small digital camera so she didn't have to buy one for the trip).

Ironically, I think I did pretty well this week. DH went to Costco and got a case of Talking Rain sparkling waters, LOVE those. We used to get those all the time. When the fizzy stuff is gone, I've been refilling with regular water and doing pretty well. Tried to add a LITTLE more exercise to the mix, too.

I could go to a meeting next Tuesday down the street from my office, but this is the last day of the WW week anyway, so I'll probably wait until next week, when T will be back.

I finally did get my "cut and color" - roots done last weekend, and that may have contributed to my feeling a little better about myself this week, and consequently taking better care of myself, too.

Today, I am decluttering a section of the basement so the plumber can move the natural gas supply line to the new location for the meter. We break ground on remodel on Monday! Will start frequent updates at http://www.baxaddition.blogspot.com

Have a great weekend!

Eileen, good to hear from you. Did you go ahead and weigh or did you skip it all together. glad you are feeling better about your self. New hair is always a picker upper. I weighed on my own scale, which is silly, because it's not even close - I think they are about 3 lbs off. Of course, I do get on my scale in my birthday suit (smile). I'm not worried about it, it was worth it to see T in Dublin.

The water thing is getting easier...

How exciting!! I'm jealous too LOL!! I wish I had someone to drag to the WW with me, but sighhhhhh it's just me. Yep, the co-worker (Ms Foodpusher) that joined last year "quit going" to the meeting we were in together. She changed to a location closer to her home and then quit going altogether.

Ironically, I think I did pretty well this week.

You shoulda gone anyway!! <Wink>

Never had the sparkling waters from Talking Rain - might look into it once or twice. I like the flavored ones from Walmart or Safeway, but pretty much stick with the pseudo Crystal Lite stuff ;-)

I finally did get my "cut and color" - roots done last weekend, and that may have contributed to my feeling a little better about myself this week, and consequently taking better care of myself, too.

I did a mani/pedi last week before my trip to CA and had the eyebrows waxed. Next will be a hair trim - I am really trying hard to be patient and grow it out longer... then a color job too!!

Well, sis will be flying back on Tuesday. I would not miss two weeks in a row, regardless. I expect that, even with beer and sausage, she will show a good loss, because she did not rent a car and she's been walking for HOURS all through Dublin.

In going through the photo albums while clearing out that corner, I showed my daughter some pix of me in the late 70's. "Wow, Mom, you were really attractive!" How do you reply to that? (smile) I remember that I could eat ANYTHING and never went over 129 (I'm 5'4"), but I also was single, went out Irish dancing a LOT - at least 3 times a week, and didn't drink nearly as much as the other barflies. It does make a difference.

Today, I borrowed the car to do groceries as I often do. I also often stop for a not-very-healthy lunch before hitting the store ("don't go shopping hungry"!). I went to 's this afternoon, got a single with the fries, and a root beer float. I ate about half of everything, and tossed the rest. I used to scarf that all down, no problem. This time, I didn't even WANT the fries after the first 3 or 4. Interesting...

Same here! It's okay - you'll get there sooner or later. You plan on

moving there permanently, right?

Congrats! You've been waiting for this a long time, too.
