HELLO PUERTO VALLARTA!

I see land! Today, we're docked in Puerto Vallarta, one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico. The ship arrives early but my group stays on for our Rise & Shine Sweatin' Class before leaving the ship.In this morning's class, we'll celebrate the birthday months of July and August, the signs of Cancer, Leo and Virgo. These people are very creative and their imaginations are always working. They are also very detail-oriented and can be very emotional. Well, that certainly fits a certain July-born baby like me, doesn't it?

Oh, how l love this port. There's an artist here named Bustamonte. He is famous for some very unusual artwork and I've been collecting his work for years since I began coming here back in the 80's. I have several of his works all around my house. They are so colorful, whimsical and I just feel happy whenever I look at them. Bustamonte has a few stores in Puerto Vallarta and I'll visit them when I go out later this afternoon. This city is a a very exciting place to see. There's a beautiful beach here and a breathtaking cathedral called Our Lady of Guadeloupe. People love to shop here because of the extensive selection of silver jewelry, onyx, wood carvings and local arts and crafts. Through Carnival Cruise Lines, many of our cruisers can book excursions today for events like horseback riding tours or even swimming with the dolphins. Have you ever swam with dolphins while wearing Dolfin shorts, like mine? There's also a fun tour where you swing through the trees. It's called the Canopy Tour.

The ship doesn't leave Puerto Vallarta until 10PM. So everyone has a lot of time to enjoy all of the things this beautiful seaside city has to offer. They can get in a lot of shopping not to mention the exercise they'll get from all of that walking.I get a little nervous today because many of the people in my group will be eating lunch or dinner here. And there're a whole lotta great restaurants in Puerto Vallarta that serve unbelievably delicious food. So this morning, during Rise & Shine, I'll be addressing this issue. I want everyone to have fun but I also want them to stay focused on the reason we're all here. I miss you all and I'm thinking about you every day!Love,
