Guest guest
Has anyone used Airsept Air Cooling Coil Coating, or Airsept Evaporator Cleaner or Airsept AC Odor Shield? Do you have opinions about the products? www.airsept.com ARTICLE BELOW COPIED FROM: www.envirosense.org/airsept.html Overview Scientists at the Environmental Research Center at Georgia State University's Department of Biology report finding several different types of bacteria growing in vehicle air conditioning system evaporators, including Aspergillus, Cladosporium, and Penicillium (click here to see the article, as published in the Journal of Industrial Biology and Microtechnology). The study cites high humidity and fungi that are naturally present in outdoor air as major factors contributing to the incidence and severity of fungal colonization of automobile air conditioning systems. AirSept's Cooling Coil Coating is sprayed into the air conditioning evaporator where it reduces the moisture that fungi need in order to grow and multiply, and kills on contact any fungi that settle on coated evaporator surfaces. In the small space of the passenger compartment of a car or light truck, it is likely that passengers will breathe in some of the airborne microorganisms that may be growing in the air conditioner evaporator, even if outside air is being added to the air circulating in the vehicle. AirSept's Cooling Coil Coating provides long term protection against a/c odor and other airborne contaminants. The product must be properly applied by a professional repair technician in the same brand dealership as the make of the car. AirSept also makes an Electronic Evaporator Dryer which, combined with Cooling Coil Coating, protects against a/c odor for the life of the vehicle in which it is installed. The Electronic Evaporator Dryer uses the a/c fan to blow moisture out of the evaporator. It is designed to cycle the fan on after engine shutdown during hot weather. AirSept's Electronic Evaporator Dryer reduces the moisture that microorganisms need to grow and multiply. It too is available for installation at automobile dealerships. AirSept is a QS-9000 Certified supplier of automotive a/c and cooling system repair products. For more information, visit our web site at www.airsept.com or call us at 1.800.999.1051 or 770.321.4826.
