Hey,

You'll understand the term dimwits when you read this article.

Perhaps a message to the Managing Editor about this persons

comments, or directly to him, will help to educate this idiot.

This really shows the intelligence (or lack of) of some people in

this country.

But just listen for the " screams " when people like him encounter

this deviastating condition. Wanna bet he will change his tune then.

They ALL do....

They're running from mold

Watch out! Mold is coming! Like killer tomatoes in old movies

menacing mold is marching. Real estate agents are afraid to sell

houses with mold. Tenants tell landlords they have mold and won't

pay the rent. Attorneys smile when people say they have mold. They

know they have an easy case because mold is everywhere. Terrifying

black mold is the worst. No one knows if racism is to blame but

everyone is especially afraid of black mold. It's amazing the fears

people form when they don't fear God.

Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines mold as " a superficial,

often woolly growth produced on damp or decaying organic matter or

on living organisms. " Mold is everywhere but is not dangerous. Some

people are allergic to mold but some are also allergic to pollen.

Nobody runs from pollen. Mold grows on things in the refrigerator.

Mold comes out of evaporation coolers and air conditioners. Mold

grows in carpets. Mold is in the car. Mold is in gardens and yards.

Mold doesn't always need moisture, like some believe. Mold sometimes

grows where it's hot and dry. Silly people afraid of mold run but

can't hide

Smart people take advantage of mold. When mold grows on cheese they

make blue cheese dressing. When mold grows on grape juice they make

wine. When mold grows on milk, they make cottage cheese. Mold is

really a friend. The dim-witted run scared.

Long ago, people worried about real dangers to life. They were

terrified when they heard about murder in their town. They were

scared stiff when drug traffickers moved into the neighborhood.

Stealing, adultery, witchcraft and tyranny rightfully caused panic

among the public. Now, they run from mold. Long ago, people were

condemned for worshiping things God made instead of God. Now,

they're afraid of things God made, not God.

in our moldy abadoned home for a month and then write a story about

mold!! Stuff like this really makes me mad.

Hi,

I did and I told them they needed to write an apology to all the

people that are sick from mold for writing such an ignorant article.

Actually the editors didn’t write the article, they just published an

“opinion” from a person in the community.

Yes Kim, you are right. The editor didn't write this, but they are

the people approving what goes into their " opinion " section. By

letting the editor know what is really happening and/or addressing

this person personnally perhaps we can change/correct their

uneducated opinion(s).

Good.

I did too

Larson:

You are grossly ignorant of this year's statements by Pediatrics'

Associations, the Institute of Medicine and EPA, as well as current

legislation in California and testimony last fall before congress

regarding mold, to allow such inclusions in your paper. You need to

follow deaths and disease in Florida and speak

with those suffering from this bioaerosal invasion of which the regular

public, absent of biology past high school, is unaware. Obviously your

paper is fine with spreading the ignorance. In future you may want to do

some research before you publish. You may want to retract some of

Darrell Watkins's attempts at humor at the expence of fact. Page

I agree – but I didn’t think it’d be right to slam the editor for “writing”

an article they simply published without first verifying the accuracy of the

statements made. That we can slam them for :-)

Long ago, people like this burned " witches " who were most likely

victims of Ergot mycotoxins.

Here is the response I sent this morning.

Ignorance is bliss; I remember the days when I didn't fear mold. Now I spend

most days with the feeling of a hand around my throat and a fungus growing in my

body. Is that an allergic reaction? Probably not.

Dim-witted people like Darrell Watkins make comments such as these; dim-wits

discuss issues they know nothing about. Hopefully, he will never personally

know the havoc that mold has caused me and many others that are sicker than I.

Knowledge is power; get some.

After living in a mold-infested 48 unit apartment

building for the past 4 years, and being criticized or

condemned or ignored, on a daily basis, by the

majority of the tenants, for having my apartment

tested for mold, after I got sick, then daring to

complain to management, the health department, the

code enforcement office, as well as the housing

authority, about the fact there is mold in the

building, and that it was making me sick, and then,

having the other tenants really get furious with me,

for filing a lawsuit against the owners of the

building, I have learned to ignore the so called

dimwits. So when I read what Darrell Watkins had to

say, it didn't bother me at all. I simply shrugged it

off, as something that came out of the mouth of an

idiot, who will never understand. Individuals such as

Darrell Watkins remind me of the people I am

surrounded by every day. It is impossible to educate

them. I tried, and when I explained how sick one can

become from living in a moldy building, my neighbor

across the hall, who was healthy when she moved into

this building, but who now must live on oxygen 24/7,

told me, " Well, we we all have to die of something. "

So I came to the conclusion a long time ago, when you

are dealing with people such as Darrell Watkins, or

the people in the building where I live, the only way

to deal with them, is not to deal with them. And by

doing that, I am a much happier person.

I just got off the phone with Larson!! I told her all about my

illness and what toxic mold can do. I gave her as much information as I could

and told her to order a copy of Mold Warriors ! She suggested that I write a

letter, in response, which I gladly will!

I think the dimwit writer needs to do just a little reasearch & then go

teach for awhile in my school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
