My name is Bob and I have had CFS for 30 years. I may have had mold

sensitivities before but now it really bothers me. I actually think I

can smell it. I do not mean the musky type of odor but what I smell

is more like what a burning match smells like after you blow it out.

Anyway, my mother left me a trailer so I moved her five years ago. I

felt okay the past 2-3 years. I started smelling the mold odor. I

crawled underneath the trailer last Saturday to see if maybe the air

ducts were loose and mold from the ground was getting in. There was a

complete layer of insulation covering the whole bottom of the trailer

and I could not see the air ducts. It was flat except I could am area

where the insulation was drooping pretty bad below where the central

air would be so I crawled over there. I could see that the outside of

the insulation was wet and when I pushed on the insulation, I could

tell there was about 20 gallons of water inside. I cut several slits

in the insulation and water poured out. I guess it came from the

humidity which a/c's pull out of the air. The trailer is 12 years old

and I am not sure how long the water had been there. The mold odor

has gotten much stronger, if that is what I smell. I emailed and

he said to stay out from under the trailer as I could die. I was

thinking of cuting out the drooping part to see what was growing and

maybe having the entire insulation replaced. He suggested I join this

group and relate my story.

When I have a mold " hit " as likes to call them, my ears start

ringing really loud, I start getting a migraine and I have to lay

down as a little disoriented.

Well, this is my story, one of eight million in the Naked City. Older

people may catch that!

I AGREE WITH ERIK, BOB.....STAY OUT OF THERE! WHEN I GO INTO A MOLDY /

INFESTED PLACE, I BECOME VERY S.O.B. (SHORT OF BREATH) & HAVE TO USE MY

INHALER. SOMETIMES I TURN VERY BLUE--WHICH IS TERMED CYANOSIS. I KNOW THIS

WILL KILL ME EVENTUALLY, BUT I'M GETTING TO THE POINT WHERE NOBODY WANTS TO

LISTEN, & I'M TIRED OF FIGHTING!

TAKE CARE,

VICTORIA
