Now see why I always wondered why you never had one before now? A

microwave comes in SO handy!

In this house, it's even more important this week, as my gas oven is on

the fritz, maybe even terminal. The landlord has been telling me since

we moved in here 8 years ago that he was going to replace it, that it's

been nothing but trouble in the 10 years he had owned the house at that

point, so now it's at least 18 years of nothing but trouble.

Enough for 2 in this house - we're not that big on popcorn.

The best microwave advice I can give you is to hit your local library

and grab a few microwave cookbooks. And don't be afraid to use it.

One more tip - remember that sugar & fat heat really fast and get really

hot, so if making or reheating anything with a high sugar or fat

content, please be very careful and mix it up (if possible) before

eating and be sure to test it for temperature before putting it in your

mouth.
