WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE!

And no, this is not another message about Niagara Falls, you'll see.When I go to the airport to wait for a flight, I don't go to the Frequent Flyers Lounge sitting around watching CNN. Although I just love CNN!I prefer to go directly to the gate and wait for my plane. I like to be around people and I often get to talk to them as I'm waiting at the gate. Once I sit down, people come up to me, sit in the next chair and we begin to talk.

Often, many of the people who come and talk with me will have a cola or diet soda in their hands. And the majority of them will also have some weight they need to lose. They'll look me in the eye and admit, "Boy, I've really let myself go a little, I know ."As they're nursing their soft drinks, of course I give them my whole soda/diet sodas speech. And how funny it is that while I'm giving them this speech, they're sucking on a straw while I'm doing my preaching.They always end up asking me the same question: "Well, , if I don't drink my sodas, what should I be drinking then?"I tell them, emphatically, you should be drinking good-old water! But when I give them my answer, it's not uncommon to see their faces crinkle up where their upper lip is almost touching their nose!

"Water," they tell me. "I don''t even like water!" And I always think how could anyone not like water? Well, I guess if you were totally raised on milk, juice and sodas then you may very well have little use for water. But, if you're trying to lose weight, water can indeed be one of your best friends!I make it a point to drink 8, 8-ounce glasses of water every day. And I just drink real water from my trusted Brita water purifier. Now, if you go to the store these days, there're all of these flavored and energy waters on the market now. There used to be only a few of them but nowadays there's a huge selection of them to choose from.The other day I was in the supermarket and started reading the labels on some of these new varieties of water. And I have to tell you that they are just not my glasses of water. All I do is get a big class from the cupboard, fill it with ice and add clear, beautiful and clean H2O. I don't guzzle it because I'm not in some contest to reach the bottom of the glass. I simply sip and enjoy my ice-cold glass of water.

I want you to remember that your body is made up of over 60% water and so needs to be replenished with fresh water throughout the day. And that's why you must continuously replenish the water your body uses through the day. So many people get dehydrated and can get very sick because they don't drink enough water. And now that the weather is turning hot again, you need to make sure you're drinking that water, now more than ever. Water helps aid your metabolism, your circulation and it plumps your skin, helping you maintain a healthy, youthful look. And that's enough reason right there for you to drink up, more water that is!When I write these messages for you, there's always a glass of water right there on my desk. Please do your body a favor today and drink your glasses of pure and clean water...everyday!Love,
