This weeks weigh in has me down 1.8 lbs but still up 4.8lbs from my low.

I am still retaining water and am finding it hard to keep motivated

when I am not seeing my results on the scales because of it. The

weather has not been as hot and humid here yet I am still bloated up

like a puffer fish. I did not get my exercise in this week due to the

ear infection (yes sue I *was* running a low fever when I was at the

Dr's) and what not. I am planning on starting in again with the

exercise on Monday, back to journaling everything again. I know I am

supposed to be doing it for the weight loss program, but they never

ask for it, so I let it slide this week, not a good thing to do!

Welcome to all the newbies!

Excess carbs will have you retaining water. I really recommend a low carb diet (of varying degrees) to anyone wanting to lose weight. It is the most effective healthy diet in my opinion. I'm going up and down the same 2-3 pounds the past week, I really should

just stop weighing in until the heat breaks again. I'm purposely eating

saltier foods and drinking mroe water because of the heat and I *know*

that's where those pounds are coming from.

Not that I'm glad you had a fever, but glad you have a sane doctor who

actually treated you. *not* treating sinus infections seems to be all

the rage because so many bacteria strains are now geting resistant to

the antibiotics.

Well, I'm way behind yet again so I guess when I catch up to Monday

(It's now Wed) I'll see how you're doing. :)
