Guest guest
DUST OFF YOUR SCALE! Friday, 04 July 2008 Oh, I know...some of you have not been on the scale in a very long time. And why? Because you don't want to face the numbers, that's why. I mean you haven't worked out enough. You haven't been measuring your foods. You haven't drank enough water. And with all of those things going on in your life, (or not going on in your life I should say), why should you want to get on that scale, huh? But I say today is the day to be independent of your fears, be honest with yourselves and set your feet on that scale this Fourth of July morning. And oh...HAPPY JULY 4TH, everyone!Come on! If you want to stay on program today, get on that scale this morning and face the numbers. And once you've faced the numbers...you have a decision to make. That is, do you want to see those numbers go up today or do you want to see them go down?I can assure you that the majority of Americans are going to gain weight today. A pound and a half, three pounds, five pounds? Oh, it's just so easy to do. A lot of people began cooking last night. And many of them got up this morning to cook some more, continuing the preparations for the big barbecues and picnics that will be held today. And you know, as well as I, that when you cook, well, you're gonna taste a little bit of everything as you go. Yep, taste a little potato salad here, some chips and dips there and before you know it, you've consumed 800-1,000 calories. And that's before you even sit down for the main meal! Oh-ohAnd then when it's time to eat, ohmigosh...you eat! You've got those barbecue ribs up to your mouth. You've prepared those hot dog extravaganzas on such a large scale, they barely fit into your mouth. You have hamburgers waiting for you, those big juicy steaks and all kinds of side-dishes made with potatoes or pastas. What a layout!Oh and just look at those desserts. Cherry cheesecake in a graham cracker and macadamia nuts crust. And check out those brownies! All nice, warm, gooey and filled with chocolate and pecans. Then there are the cookies, the cakes, the cans of cola, the beer and the mixed drinks! After the picnic, of course, there are the leftovers. And millions of Americans will snack on those picnic foods all night long up until bedtime. And you know how you feel when you go to bed after eating like you're a set of triplets! "Hon-ee, where's that pack of Rolaids?"Now I don't want any of this to happen to you. Get on that scale this morning, see where you are then plan your eating for today. And by the way, after you're done eating on this holiday, get that body of yours moving later! Happy Fourth of July to you, your family and to your pets!Love, http://www.richardsimmons.com/j/index.php?option=com_dailymessage & Itemid=
