Guest guest
This " Mold Pit, " otherwise known as the apt. building where I live, is owned and managed by a large company that buys old school buildings and turns them into apts. for low-income seniors, or low-income families, or for individuals who are mentally challagned. The building where I live is for seniors, and management knows that " we " the tenants, don't have any other place to go - to live, so they do as little maintenance as possible, and tell us, if you don't like it, then move. And they also try to intimidate you, by getting across the message, if you complain, you're going to be evicted. Well, I know that is not legal, and I have complained since I found out about the mold in this building, but it hasn't done me any good. And the other tenants, even though they know I complain, and have not been evicted, they are still afraid to open their mouth. I filed a lawsuit against the owner and will most likely be going to court next year. The owner does not deny there is mold in the building, but claims the mold did not cause me to become ill, even though I was healthy when I moved into this building. So I need to find an " expert " who will connect my health problems to the fact I am living in a building that is filled with mold. And in the meantime, all I can do is take one day at a time, and do the best I can.
