Guest guest
MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICES Monday, 19 May 2008 Most of you reading this message today have either had a Deal-A-Meal or have one of my FoodMovers in your possession. And I, like you, have been all over the map with one diet after another. And the one diet everyone hates to be on the most is the one where you have to measure your food. Hey, I know, many people do not like to measure their foods because they weren't raised in households that did it. Chances are, your mother didn't have a little meat scale. She didn't weigh out four ounces of chicken breast or a half-cup of rice for your plate, remember? She took your plate, put the food on and, go ahead and admit it, she probably piled that food high for you! She also lovingly told you, "Now clean your plate, sweetheart!"Your mother never poured three ounces of Coca-Cola over ice for you then told you to have a ball as you drank up. No, she gave you the whole can! And when dessert came out, she didn't cut you just a teeny little sliver of chocolate cake. Are you kidding? You know she cut you a big chunk! And when you eat chunky, well, you get chunky, which leads to...oh, you know! When the day finally arrived where you left home and got your own place, you didn't rush out to buy measuring cups and spoons. But then one day you look in the mirror and you say to yourself, "Whoa, I'm really fat! What happened here? "It never dawned on you that your portions and the bad food choices you'd made were so way out of control. Okay, let's have a little class now, shall we?There are six food groups: Fruits, Vegetables, Proteins, Starches, Dairy and Fats. And there's a reason you eat from all six of these food groups. It's because all of them, together, have vitamins and minerals that will keep you alive and your body functioning properly. But some of the foods in these food groups can be very high in calories. And you have to be very careful not to abuse them. Because, if you do, later on, well...they will abuse you! When you use a fruit window in your FoodMover, you can use it for a candy bar or for an apple. Which is the best choice? When you use a protein window, you can have a lean protein, like chicken or a fatty protein, like bacon. Again, which is the best choice? With the FoodMover, you get a booklet of food exchanges. The food exchanges in that booklet begin by listing the best choices of that food group for you to have. And when you make those choices in the right-size portions, you cut out some fat and calories and...you lose weight! So here it is Monday and I want to ask you something. Did you make great food choices over the weekend or did you put yourself into a food coma? Get yourself a FoodMover and teach yourself about the right portions and the right choices you need to be making to make yourself feel and look great!Love,
