Regular Doctors Opinion on Cholestyramine

I've just recently sent a note to my doctor asking him to review Dr.

Shoemaker's chronic neurotoxin web site. I asked for his medical

opinion of Dr. Shoemaker's protocol, especially the use of

Cholestyramine as a toxin binder.

Ought to be interesting to see how he responds as he is a small DO

within a big HMO tank. He has been the most open-minded so far,

understands mold is an issue, and said I should let him know if I

hear of any treatment that works. I'll let you know what happens.

So far from the other HMO doctors I've heard:

Allergist #1: " You're not allergic, your IGe levels are normal. "

ENT Doc #1: " Everything looks normal on your CT scan, MRI, needle

biopsy, scope exam....

Allergist #2: " Inhaling mold doesn't make you sick, unless you

happen to be working in a grain silo. "

ENT Doc #2: " You want a referral to an environmental doctor?!?! I

don't even know what that is. "

OccMed: " You need to file an injury claim with your employer before

you can be seen by our environmental doctors. "

OY! I've started to bring my 70-year-father with me to all of my

medical appointments because I can't get these people to take me

seriously (sucks being a 43-year-old woman going through this... " Are

you having relationship problems? " ...would they even ask a man that

question?)

Oh, I really like this one:

" Allergist #2: " Inhaling mold doesn't make you sick, unless you

happen to be working in a grain silo. "

That would make mold an extremely ODD microbe indeed!
