THEY'RE COMING IN!

Friday, 25 April 2008

People from all over the United States are coming into Los Angeles today getting ready to sail away on our Cruise To Lose this Sunday to the Mexican Riviera!I'm just envisioning everyone getting ready for the cruise. And I'm sure they've been getting ready all week long from their homes all over the country! They're making sure they've packed everything they need. They're saying good-bye to their families and, of course, hugging and kissing their pets until they can hardly breathe. (Just like I'll do Hattie and Dolly!)

I wonder what's going through their minds as they get ready for their cruise adventures. See, almost half the people coming on this year's cruise have never cruised with me before. And many of them joining me this year have not cruised with me for a very long time.I wonder if everyone is a little nervous and excited at the same time. I thought about why they are coming on the cruise and what their goals are for this fun week at sea. (I'll be finding that out in the next few days!)I also wonder if everyone coming on the Cruise To Lose looks into the mirror and has a little pep talk with themselves before leaving for the airport. All I know is that I'm just so excited to see everyone! Many of the people coming on the cruise have E-mailed me to tell me that they're coming in today so they can take class with me tomorrow at Slimmons. Hey, I'd better move some walls at the club to make sure I have room for everyone! LOL.So many of them have never visited Slimmons before. And you know that Slimmons is like my little aerobics "church," only without the pews! It's been exciting to meet all the people who have walked through the doors of my studio over the past 30 years. I've met some fantastic and fascinating individuals there these past three decades and certainly have helped many of them become better people. And I'm not nervous about meeting any of my cruisers. In fact, like I said...I'm excited and have lots of hugs and kisses stored up for them all!

I hope, no make that I know everyone will have a grand-old time! One thing I know for sure is that lots of new friendships will be made onboard the "Fun Ship". My cruisers will meet new people, just like themselves. They'll meet them in exercise class, at their dinner table, on ship excursions and in some of the many motivational seminars we'll have all week on board the Pride. And as I see these friendships being made, it'll make me feel just plain warm inside. For I know that a lot of the individuals joining me on the cruise really don't have anyone to talk to. Many of them have no one in their lives who can really relate to the "weighty" issues they face everyday. But on my cruise, for once...they will! There will be lots of ears waiting to hear just what they have to say.

Today, I'll get my final shopping done for things I need to take with me on Sunday. I have my list all ready of the things I'll need on the ship, just like everyone else. I'll make sure I don't forget one darned thing. For all of you Clubhouse member who'll be taking the Cyber Cruise with us, you're lucky because you won't have to pack for the trip!I know many of you have a lot of things to do today. Please have a blessed day and I'll see you very soon!Love,
