Guest guest
If you think that a carpet is problematic, buy some adhesive-backed polyethylene and (temporarily) completely cover the carpet. The stuff should last about a month and is miraculous. It stops emission of all allergens from a carpet (and can even be used temporarily on cushioned furniture!). The material is sold as a protective covering (for use during renovation and painting). www.Pro-Tect.com is one supplier. It comes in various widths; 24 " X 200' costs $44.
