Guest guest
CAUTION: MORE DRAMA! First, I forgot my gym clothes so no workout at all for me yesterday. But I was way under calories so that's ok. No workout tonight because it's my scheduled day off. Start fresh tomorrow. Second, co-worker had called in sick (and wasn't) so I had the WHOLE day alone with a VERY peed off boss. I was late because I had to get my tire fixed on the way in. As soon as he could he laid into me because while he was in Europe a project he told me to do hadn't been done. I explained the hold up and he in as much called me a liar. He kept at me about it most of the day, finally shutting the heck up around 3 p.m. The project is now 80% finished since I was able to get his "help" to begin it. On the way home I called co-worker to get an idea of where her head is, whether or not she's wanting to quit still. She's backed off quitting, is going to give boss the option of her quitting rather than him firing her (which he has NO intention of doing, now ME, maybe, her, no way), and she is going to insist on a 4 day workweek for herself. I had told boss yesterday when I called to say I'd be late that she had been very upset and threatened to quit, although he has not been speaking to me other than to gripe at me so I don't know if he's going to broach the subject with her this morning or not. So still up in the air as to what kind of day I can expect at work. The good news, the silver lining is, there are two HUGE international chain hotels being built here, a Best Western and I don't know what the other one is, and I'm going to apply as soon as they begin hiring. That would be PERFECT for me. So anyway here's to a quiet day today and peace throughout the land.
