Colleen, Did they only do a catheterization? No other tests?

Has had any pain, stomach upsets or anything else unusual?

Subject: OT - Update

Thanks for all your good thoughts! had his heart cath yesterday

& they didn't find any blockages. So now we don't know what happened

or why. He can go back to work on Monday & has a follow-up with his

cardiologist middle of October. He's waiting for the nurse to call

back now to see if he should go to a general physician in the meantime.

Will keep you all informed. Again, thanks for your thoughts!

Everything is fine except for a slightly elevated cholesterol and

triglycerides, which we expected. No signs of MS in the nerve tests or

multiple myeloma in the lab work. His leg problem most likely *is* just

a pinched nerve, now that the tests have ruled out everything else.

Thank goodness!

But now Ed has to follow the same food plan as I am, which is whole

grains, avoid the sugar and fats, and to get more exercise. He can have

baked goods, only if I make them from scratch with whole grain flour and

no added sugar, but the potato chips and cheese sandwiches he used to

live on are definitely out. At least I now have 2 diet buddies and can

be assured of no bags of donuts mysteriously appearing on the kitchen

table.

That is good news Sue!!! I'm glad to hear that everything turned out ok!!

Oh and BTW " sea foam " is what we always called sponge candy, but upon

doing a little research they are 2 different things. Sponge candy is

sugar, dark corn syrup, and a little vinegar that is cooked to a hard

crack stage and then you add baking soda to it, this causes it to foam

and froth once it is cooled and hard you can eat it that way, but most

places sell it covered in chocolate. It has a bit of molasses flavor

to it.

You can see more if you want at:

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-sponge-candy.htm

SOOooo if you know what Sponge Candy is, that is what I was talking

about :)
