HAD A BAD WEEk?

Sunday, 28 September 2008

"Dear : I don't know what happened to me this week but I blew it...and I mean just really blew it! I can't figure out what got into me but I just slipped back into my old bad eating habits. There were a few dinners I had to go to plus my boss had a birthday and the office had a huge dinner party to celebrate. And as if my terrible eating habits for the week weren't enough, I didn't exercise all week long either, not even one day. Oh, I was just pitiful this week and I'm the first to admit it"

Whoa, talk about a bad week! And what about you? Did you have an unhealthy week, too? Hey, it happens to all of us. It certainly has happened to me many times in the past. That is, before the importance of living a healthy lifestyle kicked into my mind.Well, look, you can't keep dwelling on that extra-large burrito or big plate of fettuchini alfredo that passed your lips this week. You ate it, it happened but it's also over and time for you to start...all over again. You have to get back on program and not let another week pass you by. So before tomorrow rolls around, let's make a plan. The first thing you have to do is forgive yourself for the way you treated your body this past week. Think of it as making an apology, to your body, if you know what I mean. So, are you ready for the plan? Because here we go!

The first thing you have to do is plan your meals for the week and I mean all 21 of them. You must make a commitment to have those balanced meals and your healthy snacks. You have to go into your kitchen to check out what's in your fridge, freezer and cabinets. As you plan your meals, make a list of the items you need to pick up at the market. You know, healthy foods like chicken breasts, brown rice, fruits and vegetables and your dairy products. In your FoodMover booklets, there are lots of recipes for you to try. You should take a look at those booklets again to help with your meal-planning. Now let's plan your workouts. Let's see, on Monday, you can do cardio. Tuesday, you can do strength-training. Then Wednesday, go for more cardio and back to strength-training on Thursday. Friday...cardio, again, Saturday the strength-training one more time and a nice walk for your body on Sunday. You have to take out the exercise DVDs you like along with your toning cords and toning ring, too.

And now you should plan what time of the day, each day, you're going to dedicate to your workouts. And be sure to make the commitment to keep all of your sweatin' dates, okay? You should also plan this week some time for you to simply spoil, pamper and take good care of your body doing something nice and relaxing, just for you. That bad week you may have had last week is well, history! Now, don't let this Sunday go by without making next week's plan for yourself. Remember, this is the last weekend for September as we get ready to head into a brand new month this week!Love,
