THANKS FOR READING ME!

Monday, 29 September 2008

Well, you're here again, aren't you? Many of you I hear from tell me that the first thing you do in the morning when you turn on your computers is look at my daily message. When I began my website, one of the main things I wanted to do was write a message, every day that would motivate and inspire all who read them. And for all of these years, I've never missed a day doing a brand new message.

Even if I were sick, I wrote the message. Even when I was on vacation in Italy, I wrote the message. I'm telling you, doing it has just become a part of me and, I'm glad to see...a part of you!I often get E-mails that ask, ", where do you get all of your ideas from to do a new message each day?"Good question. I get many of my ideas from the phone calls I make to many of you everyday. I get ideas from the thousands of E-mails I read every week. I get ideas from looking up in the sky or sometimes just from hugging Hattie and Dolly!I get ideas for my messages from walking through the many airports I'm in each year. Or from a conversation I might have with a fellow passenger on one of my flights. I get my inspiration for my messages from sitting in my hotel rooms from coast to coast. Or an idea for a message might hit me while I'm rocking in my rocking chair sitting outside at dusk. I guess you could say that I get my ideas every day...in every way. Many of the messages I write have been very painful for me. I'm not going to lie to you. Sometimes I sit and cry as I write them. You see, I am you. It's true. I'm no different from you.I'm an emotional person, an emotional and compulsive eater. In my past, I've allowed food to ruin days, months and years of my life. I've been on as many diets as you and, the truth now, have quit those diets again, just like you. And just as many times as some of you have.

Oh yes, I've been up-and-down with those numbers on the scale and up-and-down the ladder of self-esteem, right along with you. I write my messages to help keep you going. I write them to help make you feel strong and, of course, on lots of days, I write them to make you laugh!I want to thank you for coming to my website and reading my messages every day. Some of you tell me that you even print them out some days and give them to others to read. (Thank You.) I even received an E-mail once from a pastor who read one of my messages from the pulpit to his congregation. How wonderful is that? One day, I should publish my all-time favorite messages in a book. But until then, I'll just keep writing and writing new ones for you. Hey, I don't write them for anyone else but you, ya' know! And you know what else? These are all I LOVE YOU messages. I write them because I do love and believe in you. Now, what shall I write about tomorrow?Love,
