Guest guest
Weekends are killer for me too. I was actually going to post this thought this evening. I do so well all through the week with eating and I even get my workout in on Friday night but my eating is just out of whack. I think it has to do with our schedule being so different on the weekends but I sure would like to fix it! Guest guest
Weekends are bad for me too! This weekend I did pretty good on Saturday (yesterday) but today I didn't do as well. I know it's because the weekend is a totally different routine than during the week. Sundays are my worst days. I really need to come up with something to do in between church times. Actually, the morning is good...just eat breakfast and get ready for church. No time for anything else...but then the dreaded afternoon arrives. We usually get home from church around 12:30 pm and then we go back for choir practice around 5:30 pm. So from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm is hard on me. I like to read, so I know I could do that. But then there is something in the back of my mind saying, "The kitchen is calling you!" I don't chow down...as I have said before, I nibble. I don't keep track of my calories accurately by doing that. I just need to padlock all my kitchen cabinet doors and fridge on Sundays. We get back home from church on Sunday night around 8:30 pm...and by then it's too late to eat, so I don't. Ok, I'm through whining. I just need to get a new routine for Sundays. I'm going to try and get one before next Sunday gets here. Guest guest
>Just got back from WalMart trip #2 for the weekend. Are you a glutton for punishment? LOL We hit one of our " mall clusters " (2 malls right across the road from each other) yesterday morning and in every store people were elbow to elbow. We came home after 4 hours and spent less than $20, none of it on gifts. It was so disappointing. > I can't blame the weather, I adore the cold, so it's nice to me outside, When I woke up this monring the temp was 16, winds gusting to over 40mph and wind chill 4º. Yesterday afternoon when we were out it wasn't much better. I like the cool weather, too, but this was too cold, even for me. > though it's way warmer today (64) We'll stay cold today, have sleet and freezing rain tomorrow morning, but then it's going up to 55 again. We're already taking bets around her to see who gets the full-blown flu first. My son and I and both nursing sinus infections and asthma symptoms already. > Today I didn't buy ANY snacks This was the first weekend in almost a month my husband *didn't* stop at the bakery on the way home Friday night, and after we got in yesterday he had a yen for baked goods so I made one of the sugar-free whole wheat quickbreads, a gingerbread, from one of the vegan message boards. Oh, it ws so bland and tasteless compared to the stuff he was getting, but knowing it's healthier for us made it go down a bit easier. Neither of us are in a hurry to repeat this experience any time soon, so I guess it was a *good* thing it tasted as blah as it did. > My mind keeps fast forwarding to February and the start of NASCAR again and spring and my hopes of putting in flower beds next year and just all kinds of wonderous things. I'm trying to stay positive and focused on that. It's gonna be a loooong winter, isn't it? LOL Even though I have no outdoor space I always get those seed catalogs every winter. I need *something* to remind me that warm weather really is ahead. Sue in NJ
