Good morning! I'm S., your trusty weatherman! I'm taking a look at my Doppler 2000 Radar this morning to see what the weather is for you all around the country!

Cold, cold, cold! Drip, drip, drip! It certainly doesn't look like the kind of weather for your going out to exercise in.

Well, B-r-r-r-r! Cold, cold, cold! Drip, drip, drip! Nope, doesn't look like the friendliest of weather at all today! And it certainly doesn't look like the ideal kind of weather for you to go out to exercise in. Oh, I know. There are some fanatics who like to go running in the rain. Me? I prefer to go singing in the rain...not running! "What a glorious f-e-e-e-l-ing, I'm happy again!"So what's a person who wants to exercise daily to do when the weather turns less cooperative? Well, I know that a lot of you belong to a gym and you could drive safely there to get your workouts in. Or you could walk in a climate-controlled local shopping mall. And you know that many malls have walking programs you can enroll in...for free.And then there's your place. That's right. I know you have a TV and a DVD player. So turn your home into an in-home gym where you can work out, baby...when it's cold outside. And you should have a collection of workout DVDs that include walking, cardio, strength-training and stretching.

I know many of you do my workouts at home now but you might want to venture out and find some others workouts you'll enjoy to help you mix things up. The body may get a little bored doing the same old things every workout. And honey, I'm telling you, you don't want to bore your body!You know the best time for your workouts and that's in the morning. I'm telling you, those morning workouts are like a shot of B-12 in the backside...wow! It's like candles on a birthday cake or fireworks in the sky on the 4th of July! Exercise makes your blood happy, your body happy and it just makes you feel good, all over!But many of you can't get exercise done in the mornings so you've got to do it when you get home in the evening. And I know you may be tired but again, the exercise will really revive your body. I mean, what happens between the times you leave your house in the morning and when you get back home later in the day? Well, life happens and that often means a bit of stress, too. A lot can happen in those 8 to 9 hours during the day before you put the key in the door after arriving home in the evening.And even when you get home, I'm sure I don't have to tell you, there could be a little more stress waiting there for you. LOL. But just put that workout DVD in and watch your stress melt away as your body melts those calories away!Well, that's today's weather, everyone! After this break, we'll be right back with sports.
