Guest guest
Hi everyone. My name is Judy, married 14 years to my hubby tomorrow (actually in 8 minutes!), and mama to four kiddos. We homeschool our kids, I go to school part time, and we seem to stay just plain busy. I have battled my weight since I was a kid. What a vicious cycle it has been and one that I am happy to say I am breaking!! I started going to Weight Watchers in Jan. but after about 3 months decided that I would rather start going to the gym. Time didn’t allow for me to do both so I quit WW, hit the gym, and found that I really do like exercising when it is at the gym. I just can’t stand it at home! LOL I started seeing results pretty quickly but I still hadn’t changed my eating habits. The scale stayed the same while I could tell I was losing inches just from the fit of my clothes. About two weeks ago I decided this was ridiculous. I couldn’t keep putting three days a week in at the gym and not see the results on the scale. So I started counting points with the WW system again and in the past two weeks have dropped 11 pounds. I am almost 5’11 and am currently 327.6 pounds. The highest my weight has ever been was 379 when I had our third child. That was almost 5 years ago! Since then I have stayed around the 350 mark but haven’t really paid much attention. So I am going by my weight two weeks ago as my starting weight and that was 328.6. My goal weight is 175 pounds so that I will FINALLY weigh less than my hubby who stays at about 185. I have 152.6 pounds left to lose and I am determined that this IS the LAST time I will see my weight this high. I can’t keep denying myself the life that I want because I am to afraid to leave the life that I have. I wanted to join this group because losing 10 pounds is not the same as over 100. Having a WW leader who reached her goal of 25 pounds sure didn’t help to motivate me much! Thanks for having me and I am looking forward to getting to know you all.
