Guest guest
Hi Cristi (Lurker), Sorry that you are so busy this week. :-( I'll miss you. Have a great week! You'd better be breathing! :-) Pah!!!!!!! Here's a little jingle that I wrote and posted last week. I thought that you might enjoy it while you're working so hard. It goes to the tune of " Whistle While you Work " . Breathe While You Work Just breathe while you work: pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah. You'll be less stressed, put it to the test, while blowing through the golden straw. Just do those pelvic tilts and your rump and hams will melt While cleaning your mess, do---- your best to breathe while you work. Guest guest
Thanks Darlene!!!!!! Good for you on your sore hind-end. :-) I like to use the phrase: " it hurts so good " . Thank you for my card. Have a terrific day!!!!! Love, Liz ---- On Tue, 12 Nov 2002 13:07:34 -0500 <tw1853@...> writes: I've been praying for you, Liz! I also did 40 breaths in your honor on the way to work. I thought about what you asked the other day about being sore, and I realized how I'd slacked off with doing any positions with the breaths. So yesterday when I did 80 (catching up from Sunday), I squeezed my " hind-end " (as Rashelle would say), and boy is it ever sore today! LOL Thanks for the reminder! Guest guest
It sounds like your flax oil was spoiled. It should smell like fresh cut grass or whatnot... Or did you buy Udo's? Udo's DOES have fish oil in it. But I can't taste it in MY shakes... I love adding the oil to my shakes, because they mix up better and creamier. Sorry your experience was less than satisfactory. : ( www.sistersunshine.com Tuesday I thought I'd post since it's quiet in here & I am on break having my cc & Kashi. Well I started on the flax seed oil yesterday. I added it to my morning shake...I FINALLY got my Cappuccino ICE shakes over the weekend and I am so happy to have my favorite shakes back and I was looking forward to my yummy shake....so I add the 1T of FSO to my shake......PPPUUUUUKKKKEEEEE!!! It might as well have been a fish shake My morning was ruined. I have a new b4 bed favorite. I ususaly have something small cuz I always wake up starving. I have 1pc of SaraLee Delitful ww bread, 1t natural PB and 1t 100% fruit jelly. Yummy! I just realized that natural PB does not have all that much protein in it & really cant be used as a protein. OH well, it's just a little snackie b4 bed so I'm not going to wig out over it. (unless u guys tell me to and then i will cuz i can't be screwing things up). I am still sticking around 1350 calories per day. I havent weighed in a while & I wont until like Friday at lunchtime. We went to the Halloween party that I was working so hard to get in shape for. It was great, i looked good in my custume and my friends are constantly telling me how good I look...of course then I lecture them for an hour about BFL and working out. I then told hubby " now that the party is over, I have no focus, no deadline goal " HOWEVER, we just started this Work on Wellness (WOW) program at work that lasts 4 weeks so that is my 'motivation'. I am the cheerleader here at work. We have offices all over the US so I am sending out positive, uplifting, motivation emails to all over (California, Florida, Missouri, Michigan, etc). I'm taking at of my stuff from BFFM (don't tell Tom). Everyone is like " wow, thanks that's great information " etc etc...I'm a hero I'm going to the gym over lunch today to kill myself on the elliptical. And since everyone else is doing it, I did 5min on the stepmill Sunday at level 4 - gasp - thought i was gonna die. I'll try it again today. Allrightie then - back to work! Guest guest
I agree with Lydia, I live about 5 miles from Barleans Fishery in Northwestern Washington. They happen to sell very high grade Flax oil which is cold pressed and must be kept refrigerated. The two things to look for in a fresh flax oil, is cold pressed and refrigerated. My oil has a nutty flavor and I just take it like medicine right off the spoon with a chug of water chaser. You can find Barleans online at www.barleans.com<http://www.barleans.com/>. Guest guest
Smell it. If it doesn't have a smell like fresh cut grass, or as someone else said, " kinda nutty " but rather smells nasty... it's rancid. It DOES spoil if it's not kept refrigerated or frozen. If it was spoiled when you bought it, I'm sure they'll let you exchange it for a good one so they won't lose your repeat business. Was it shipped to you in dry ice? Seems strange to get that by mail order... a few days in a non-refrigerated box or sitting on your doorstep while you're at work could ruin it. : ) P.S. I usually use the NOW brand of liquid Glucosamine/Chondroitin and the brand is generally okay... www.sistersunshine.com Re: Tuesday I got the NOW vitamins brand from Vitaglo - so...do u think it's spoiled then?? > It sounds like your flax oil was spoiled. Guest guest
My gosh. For a short work-week, it is sure dragging!! Maybe it was the "possible disconnect" for gas at one my Starbucks' locations that I spent a lot of time and energy on yesterday and today. Once I got it taken care of and in the clear for no disconnect, the rest of the day was anti-climactic enough and I was mentally exhausted enough that I just want to drop now. For the workload, they (Sbux) have *closed* roughly 400 of their 600 stores that are going dark. I have only gotten requests to close the utility accounts for about 200 of those. Meaning: they are still lease obligated to 200 of them. When they get out of the leases, the rest will come in. Um. It doesn't help that I was sleep-walking last night and ate a powdered sugar donut in the middle of the night, either! OK. I don't think I can honestly say I was sleep-walking LOL but I *did* eat the donut. It was good too. I am still exhausted. I was supposed to have training tomorrow for 2 hrs and I asked the manager and lead if we are having it because I haven't gotten a "meeting request" for it. He (lead) said "until it's on your calendar, it isn't happening". She (Manager) said "no, it's not happening". Thank goodness!! I don't want to be away from my desk for 2 hrs tomorrow. The high school kids get out at 11 a.m. tomorrow to deliver their food drive stuff. Youngest ds (grade school) gets out at 11:30 a.m. Me? I'm working a full day so I can have some peace and quiet before the holiday officially starts! Today's exercise: brought to me by walking at the mall after work. Two youngest sons wanted to go sell stuff at the used video, etc store. I told them they better be happy with their transactions tonight because I doubt I will go back to the mall much before the new year now with Christmas shopping season starting on Friday!! Happy Wednesday tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving and have a great weekend!! in WA310/253.2/170 I've lost 66 inches from my body!More of Him, less of me"There are only two options regarding commitment. Guest guest
, Be careful! You may need to go to the doc and have your blood pressure checked when you sit up, sit down, exert yourself etc. JUST in case! If it does it again, promise you will go? That is very worrisome! Guest guest
Terri, thank you. You know, I didn't even think of that until I read that. I just grabbed our BP monitor. It always reads a few points higher than at the doctor's office, and it ran 124/77. Even if our monitor is running a bit high, that's in prehypertension territory. EEK It's on my radar now. I'm going to have one of our nurses check it at work tomorrow. I'll check it with our home monitor before that just to compare. Thanks for the idea. All my life I've run about 110/75, so this is higher for me. Guest guest
Hi Donna,I'll do another session with weights in 2 days. I'll be really careful about the food.
