Guest guest
ARE YOU READY-PART 2 Monday, 04 August 2008 As you gain weight, along with the pounds, many medical problems may also come your way. And where there are medical problems, there's sure to be a medicine cabinet...filled with prescriptions. I'm often shocked when some people tell me the number of medications they have to take...everyday! I'm talking 8 pills, 15, pills, 20 pills...sometimes more! Now you can't tell me that having to take that many pills is necessarily a "good thing." Oh, don't get me wrong! Sure I believe in modern medicine. But, to me, one person having to take all of those pills just can't be right! And when I see people who're not losing weight but who're taking lots of medications, they just don't look or move so good to me. I have to wonder if all of those medications are doing anything for them, really.", I take two bills for my high blood pressure, one for my cholesterol, three for my heart, two pain pills daily for back pain and a diuretic. I also have to use an asthma spray and I take daily insulin shots to control my diabetes."Now I've asked you this before. But if you were to lose weight, do you think some of your medical problems might go away altogether...as a result of losing the weight? Would your doctor maybe even cut your prescriptions of completely take you off some of them? Oh, wouldn't that be grand? I get E-mails all the time from people who tell me how much weight they've lost and how they were able to stop taking certain medications because they lost the weight. So I know it works, I really do! And if you're seeing a doctor who prescribes that many pills for you, well if I were you, I'd get a second opinion. Go to that new doctor and take all of the pills you're now taking with you. And let that new doctor give you a complete physical. And I'm gonna tell you something. If you really want it bad and if you're really ready, you can create a brand new you. That is, if you consistently stay on your weight-loss program. So get that new doctor's name, call him or her and make an appointment. And one day, you could be the one E-mailing to tell me that there are not nearly as many butterscotch colored bottles in your medicine cabinet!Love,
