Sorry to hear about your loss. Our prayers are with you.

Also, someone else asked when you would be back in Erie. I am wondering too.

Cole gets his eigth and last (hopefully) Dec. 26/27th. He was schedule for the

18/19th, but they changed it because Dr. K has holiday travel plans.

Let us know when you get a chance.

Thanks Liz. She was 63 years old. She had colon & small cell lung cancer which

spread to her brain. Luckily, she died at home with my dad rather than a

hospital. It's been pretty dreadful, but I am glad she isn't suffering anymore.

Thanks Deshea. My dad lives in Holyoke and I have been staying with him. He's

had a lot of visitors, so we don't really need anything, but thanks for

offering! I leave tomorrow and am nervous thinking about him being alone.

Thanks . It's supposed to be the 16th of November, but we can't make

that date. I was surprised because I though he might let us go 12 weeks since

Ian is now over two, but they went with 8 weeks again.

That is so great that you saved a dog from the SPCA. So many people want puppies these days and so many older dogs get left behind. I admit to getting puppies myself.

That is awesome that you've been walking with him. He will get use to doing it and bug you all the time about wanting to go. You'll also help his life span. I just read that exercise is the one most important thing for a healthy long life for a dog. I walk my dogs everyday and they look forward to it (well, they are getting sick of walking in the neighborhood) we usually take them to the trails where there is lots of grass. The neighborhood is just a street and I won't let them do their jobs in people's yards lol so they don't like it that much, but there are times I have to walk them here.

Anyway, so happy for you! You done a good deed Carolyn!

Congratulations on your new dog Carolyn!!

Thanks for the review too!

sorry i have been MIA

hi everyone!hey, sorry that i have been MIA... ive been so swamped that im 500 messages behind. one thing that has been keeping me busy is that i got a new dog from the SPCA - a 1.5 year old alaskan malamute named chinook. so i have been walking him alot, and last saturday he and i spent 1.5 hours hiking, it was heavenly! :) ive been walking him for at least 30 mins a day and he is starting to loosen up and settle into our family. he is a wonderful dog, we cannot believe that someone gave him up. the extra walking is good for me, i enjoy it and burn about 100 calories in the 30 mins.also, i started my slim series express rotation. ive done 'cardio sculpt' and 'cardio core' and they are good workouts. debbie packs alot into the short time, but she has reduced the # of reps from what she does in SS. they are quite do-able workouts, certainly easier than the SS workouts.... (upper?) intermediate level, imo, while SS is advanced. the music is much better, which is nice. i was surprised that the cardio+sculpt workout was not full-body, but upper body only. so far, i prefer 'cardio core' which seems more comprehensive and interesting, although there is an editing error and you have to do woodchops on one side yourself :/ how they missed that error is beyond me! geesh! these workouts are not big calorie burners because they are short, but i do burn about 150 cals in the 30 mins. ive been adding another 30 min cardio workout to them to round out the workout and to increase the burn, along with a 10 min stretch from 'perfect in 10'. add in the walking and i end up with 450-500 total cal burn for the day :) i have not done '6 min abs' yet, but wanted to mention that beachbody put the workout on its own dvd, AND included it on the other two dvds as well. why? seems silly to me and it takes up room in my dvd binder. if anyone would like to have the 6 min abs dvd then holler and i will send it to you!tomorrow has slim series 'tone it up' scheduled, plus a walk for the dog. i have no cardio scheduled, so perhaps i will make the dog's walk a bit longer than usual. so sorry that i havent been responding to messages, i will be able to participate more once i get everyone's posts read.:*carolyn.

I am on vacation with the family. We are in the mountains. TWIN mountains to be exact. I just love it up here. BUT when I go away I always have to face reality FULL LENGHT mirrors. I need to make some huge changes. I am not talking little BIG. The other day I went to get a haircut and the gal screwed my hair up so bad. You know the dutch boy from paint cans. That would be me now. BUT I am trying not to get to depressed and trying to look at it as a reality check that I need to lose. I feel like crap. Body parts hurt. So once back from vacation be prepared to hear from me alot. Kids go back next wed.
