A half-hearted workout

I got all my workout stuff ready the night before, and was kind of looking forward to it. Getting up wasn't THAT hard, although it's truly dark now at 5:30, isn't it? I was going through the motions, got my ice water, my banana, etc. There was no enthusiasm, though.

I did not quite complete one full circuit. My knee felt kind of wonky; I skipped a couple machines. But it wasn't terribly painful; it's just there are a few machines where my knee "talks" to me. I got in there about 5 minutes later than usual (wow, I actually have a "usual" workout time now!). I felt kind of tired and wrung out and decided to cut it short.

Now, I know that it's OK to listen to your body, and adjust for it. But, this was not a cry for help, it was a whisper. I could have worked through it. Right now, I'm going for developing the habit of even going, but I know that this sort of half---ed effort will not yield results in the long term.

I need one more workout before I'm eligible for the automated Curves Smart program, where you can track your progress through card readers on the machines.

Wanna go back to bed, but will head to work. I'm taking tomorrow off - it's my BD, plus we need to shop for light fixtures for the remodel, and I desperately need either a body wave or my roots done. My birthday present will be DH clearing off the coffee table and picking up a pizza so we can watch the debate and eat dinner in the Living Room (feels so naughty!) Honestly, I feel like I'm watching a reality show and there's only one more person to be voted off the island.

Hope everyone else is having a more "enthusiastic" morning than I am.
