Guest guest
NO DAYS OFF Monday, 20 October 2008 You may get days off from work but you know what? Your body doesn't really get days off. I mean, you don't plug your body in at night to reenergize yourself for the next day. And you can't put batteries into your body to charge yourself back up either. Your body has to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week and there's no way around that fact. While you're at work, your body has to work too, at keeping you alive. And when you're asleep, your body is still working for you. Even when you're doing your hair, shaving, dancing or whatever else you may be doing, your body is always busy, busy, busy...working hard for you.Now a lot of people tell me that they take the weekend off from exercise. They tell me that they exercise faithfully during the week but on the weekends well, feel they've earned to right to just kind of lay around and relax. Well, I kinda have to throw my head back and laugh out loud at that idea. To me it's just, and I'll be frank, a rather silly way to think. Your body needs exercise seven days a week, my friends. And you should be doing 45 minutes to an hour of exercise...everyday! And if you have a lot of weight to lose, you may have to work up to doing more than an hour of exercise a day, to see the results you want.I believe that, every week, the body needs three days of cardio, three days of toning and then some fun activity on the seventh day like cycling, swimming or even walking. It's a formula that's going to do a few things for you. It's going to help you continue burning calories. It'll help tone your muscles. It'll help your bones get stronger. And it'll help keep off the weight you've lost so far and reach your final goal. See how important the exercise is?Now maybe you think I'm being a little bit too strict here. But I'm not, really. These are the facts...and just the facts, everybody. A few days ago, we talked about slipping up and overeating. Well, on a day like that, you should work out a little harder so that you can burn off some of those calories you consumed too many of. I know many of you reading today's message exercise only one or two days a week or, God forbid, maybe even none at all. Many of you right now maybe even be on "weight-loss sabbaticals." And...are you? Please listen to what I have to say today. If you're one of those who don't exercise at all or maybe just a little, you're probably not losing the weight you want to lose. And I'm telling you that if you add a daily exercise routine to your life, you'll be amazed at the progress you see in your weight-loss efforts.I'm serious, no more days off. Please exercise this week and don't "take off" from your routine or...you won't take off those pounds, either!Love,
