Venting...and looking for solutions

If mold can potentially make you really, really sick, and possibly

cause cancer, CFS, MCS, etc., if you happen to be one of the

susceptible few, if that is even the case.......

And,

If traditional doctors don't believe inhaling mold can make you sick,

and don't know how to treat it anyway......

And,

If most professional remediators aren't capable of understanding the

extent of the problem, and don't really know how to properly remediate

an overly infested property, or belongings, or understand the

potential sensitization and health problems, or cross-contamination

issues......

And,

If real estate agents continue to sell homes full of mold, without

disclosure, to make a buck (if only they had an idea of the pain they

are inflicting on people), and sellers/landlords continue to cover it

up to make a buck (if only they had an idea of the pain they are

inflicting on people), and there is no recourse in the

formal/professional arena, where absolutely no one is being held

accountable because there is no understanding, unless you have the

status/money/free time to hire a personal injury/worker's comp

attorney and spend years being drug through the mud......

And,

If spores/mycotoxins can travel within a piece of paper/clothing to

contaminate a new space; that's ANY internal space, including an

office building, the home of a friend or family member, your tax

accountant, local courthouse, school, or mold remediation office,

contaminated by anyone who happened to be exposed; i.e., a friend,

family member, client, employee......

And,

If there is nothing that works to remediate the problem, short of

burning your house, or leaving your belongings behind, or in storage

for years on end, and running for the hills/forest, or sleeping in a

tent, or motel hopping/dropping trying to get rid of the

spores/toxins......

Why would " they " want to admit that mold makes you sick?

- Don't you think there would be mass hysteria by the general public

if they were adequately clued in to this disaster?

- Especially considering that there are NO acceptible answers?

- It's no wonder the insurance companies won't cover mold, and the

doctors continue to state that " it won't make you sick " .

- Something's gotta give, and soon!

What we have developing here is a disaster of such great proportions,

I don't think even we who have experienced it can fathom the depth.

Greater than asbestos, or anything from our past, except, perhaps the

plague.

And yet, I am continually met with such skepticism and disbelief from

everyone, including my own friends and family members, whose homes are

probably cross-contaminated from my own experience, and perhaps it's

just a matter of time before they begin to exhibit symptoms (if they

are susceptible). It's just plain sickening.

Yet, they think I'm either making this up, I'm OCD and need to get a

grip before I make myself crazy, or I'm already just plain crazy,

because I can't seem to get on with my life since I sold my mold

house, and what I'm saying is simply not possible!

All you need to do is read a little bit of the scientific data

regarding molds/mycotoxins:

- symptoms/diseases known to be caused by ingested mold

- symtpoms believed to be caused by inhaled mold

- mold related respiratory diseases through history

- distance a spore can travel when airborne

- time it remains airborne until it hits the ground

- mold travelling through the air from islands/other continents

- mold-related mycotoxins

- symptoms caused by mycotoxins

- mycotoxins and their potantial for use in chemical warfare

I wonder if there are any studies regarding the effectivenes of

remediation? Does it depend on the type of mold, the individual

person and their susceptibility/exposure levels. So much is unknown

at this point.

How to convince people when they are so head strong in believing they

are right? I don't know.

Perhaps someone should put together a one-page fact sheet that

explains how this all makes sense scientifically. Maybe I'll do it,

quoting other sources...get people thinking, atleast my own friends

and family. Unless someone more qualified wants to tackle the

challenge?
