Guest guest
This was topic before but wanted to add new information. I have rusty spots and streaks in the house that I was ignoring before I found out that mold can be rust colored. Some mold remediators in my city that I got the name of through an associate of Dr Shoemaker have said since I have a plaster house, rust could also be rust from the wire mesh that is holding the plaster in place. This is much more likely given the pattern in most rooms they are in, except for in Living Room ceiling where they are 'spots' of rust. It could be droplets of water that became rust colored from wire mesh on plaster ceiling but I will be testing for mold due to shape. It still indicates excessive moisture problem but could be past problem as I used to keep house very humid in cold months to point windows steamed up alot and sometimes water ran from them. I thought humidity helped the rooms to feel warmer and helped to prevent my sinuses from drying and cracking and therefore help to prevent wintertime colds and flu. I just thought I'd pass along the additional reasonable explanation for rust marks in my house. Wire rust is less likely the cause of rust marks in houses with drywall I assume. I'll let you know how tape lift tests turn out.
