Many soapers put ingrediants on the labels just as a basic " courtesy " to customers, in case someone is allergic to something, for instance. But, this has also led to many a heated discussion as to whether or not you are making a claim by calling your lavender soap " lavender soap " , for example. Some feel that because many people know of the calming effect that lavender has on many people, by calling you soap " lavender soap " you are making a claim, thereby blowing your " soap only " exemption.
