Guest guest
Bob, I see where you are coming from on the results, except that in CFS, NOBODY was getting the results at all. We threw everything we could think of at this illness and NOTHING helped in any significant way. We measure the worth of a doctor by his determination to help, not by whether he succeeds. Dr Cheney and Dr are heroes of the CFS epidemic, not because they cured anybody, but because they acted like REAL doctors and fought FOR their patients rather than against them. They never helped me, but at least they tried, and they did everything that one would expect from real doctors. It has been shocking beyond belief to literally see the majority of doctors declare total war on sick people and conduct this iatrogenic abuse for twenty nonstop years. It has been even more shocking to watch sufferers continue to accept this treatment without resorting to " physical pursuasion " as means to convince " not so good " doctors to discontinue their denial of a phenomenon of which the insurance companies, real estate brokers, construction industry and ozone machine purveyors are fully aware. When I took advantage of subtle but specific clues to make a serious alteration in my functional state, I attempted to convey these clues to many of these doctors - without success. Doctors couldn't even understand the mycotoxin connection. Certainly not the importance of these subtleties, let alone the possibility that they might convey them to sufferers. The vivid nightmares as indicators of neurotoxic exposure, for example. Yet, when I described my mold experience and these subtle clues that I was using to another Incline Village CFS patient, she asked if I had ever heard of Dr Shoemaker. I hadn't - and she gave me a copy of Desperation Medicine. I couldn't believe it. Dr Shoemaker described mold illness and these very clues with perfect precision. I couldn't even get some of the most famous doctors to listen to me about the mycotoxin connection, and here was Dr Shoemaker describing the illness and including many of the signs and subtleties that I use as indicators of exposure. The intransigence of these doctors has been such that now that I can approach them with a copy of Mold Warriors in my hand, they STILL show an inexplicable indifference to this information. I wanted a way out of Living Hell and found one. It wasn't easy and it STILL isn't easy. It took months before I was even certain that I was on the right track - but it paid off. Dr Shoemaker is the ONLY doctor I've found who speaks of my situation with perfect understanding of the manner in which I crawled out of pure Hell. This is not an easy illness. There is no magic pill that one can take and simply wait to be better. Evading total destruction of ones life is an incredible feat of determination. Following the path that Dr Shoemaker has laid out isn't as easy as stepping through a door, but at least it's a way out when others have failed. I believe that Dr Shoemaker has already earned his bust in the hall of fame. -
