Guest guest
In October of 2001, we had a small leak in the ice maker line of our refrigerator. Our insurance company sent to us the cheapest, untrained and uninsured remediators to handle the situation. These incompetents allowed the water to remain for six weeks with no drying out. They and the lab that was hired to address the mold that was now present, botched the entire job. These idiots came in looking real official in their HasMat suits, spore trap analysis machines, and negative air machines. Instead of ridding the problem, the blew mold spores throughout the entire house. They then falsely cleared our home and told us it was safe for occupancy. By making the mold airborne and easily inhalable, we got very sick. My daughter was hospitalized three times after the incident. I got serious cognitive and neurological dysfunctions. Some people (and physicians) think it is funny that mold is yucky on bread or that " mold is gold " and a $500K settlement can make up for the lost health, fear for your children, and devastation from having to walk away from you own because you are not certain if the situation could kill your child. This attitude adds insult to injury of the situation by having your sanity and integrity questioned while you are your lowest point. It is similar to making fun of the Hurricane Katrina victims, who will now suffer their own insult to injury because of the ignorance of many who do not know what they speak of regarding mold, but choose to speak anyway.
