Guest guest
I haven't been able to read or post lately but couldn't resist posting this that I heard on the Today Show this morning regarding the " dangerous " mold damage to buildings in flood zone. With an introduction to segment that the flooded homes, still in water, and area in general having a 100% humidity for over two weeks now, there is rapid growth of mold, describing it as very hard to clean and a health hazard and showing pictures of it ALL OVER THE PLACE! That's pretty accurate but it became disappointing from there. A CDC representative, Dr Redd, went on to elaborate, warning of the impending health hazard, " With the degree of exposure so great in these buildings, it could actually trigger allergies to mold. For people who already are allergic to mold, it could trigger symptoms such as hay fever, skin rashes and asthma attacks. " As Katrina is described as the worse natural disaster in our lifetime to strike the US, this statement from the CDC could be the biggest understatement in our lifetime of the possible health consequences of the mold growth in this flood ravaged area. This is a lie. He may not know it but there are people in authority who do. Apparently this may be Part II of how the federal government lets down it's citizens in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
