Guest guest
I had thrush in the hospital once - I was given a yellow liquid that I had to swish and swallow - I think it may have been nystatin. I go for upper GI x-ray tomorrow for 3-4 hours, will this yeast infection show up? I have NOT been taking antibotics of any sort since a longgggg time so antibotics did not cause it. Guest guest
, If you are using any inhalers and you don't rinse your mouth out afterwards it will cause thrush. Either way I know several people that have thrush that are using peroxide to gargle with. It is a good antifungal. Also they are doing a swish and swallow with a nystatin medication. Diflucan seems to work for some. I also have heard to mix in a little bit of baking soda and peroxide together in a glass to rinse your mouth out. But you really need to speak with your doctor, because I am not a doctor, just relaying information that others are trying. Guest guest
I have never ever used inhalers (don't have asthma) but the doctor had given me green mouth wash called benzydamine last January and it did nothing to help. I will ask the doctor again next time I see him in a week. I just thought someone here may know what to do. I will try the peroxide and baking soda though, never know may work? --- In , " tigerpaw2c " <tigerpaw2c@y...> wrote: > , > > If you are using any inhalers and you don't rinse your mouth out > afterwards it will cause thrush. Guest guest
My daughter has gotten thrush repeatedly from antibiotics. Last time, I got her to try gargling with a vinegar solution. It worked instantly. Serena www.freeboards.net/index.php?mforum=sickgovernmentb --------------------------------- for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. I am interested in hearing anything that works for candida albicans/thrush. I am also allergic to it so I have had it for about 5 years and can't ever seem to kick it. I do use baking soda to brush my teeth and have used peroxide a few times but the peroxide felt funny on my fillings. Of course would like to get rid of fillings but can't now. I have never tried the nystatin. I did use Diflican for about 8 months. It was close to working but had to stop cuz of the cost at $400.00 per month if you don't have insurance. I use to have the best insurance but lost that in this mess. One thing I did use the inhalers and stopped back in 2001 cuz of the thrush and the inhalers didn't work for me anyway. Guess from the mold, antibiotics and inhalers the yeast took over.
Guest guest
I think mine was Diflucan now that I've seen the name - it was a decade ago. Have KC tell you about white vinegar and whether it works on thrush. -Haley ldelp84227 <ldelp84227@...> wrote: > > I had thrush in the hospital once - I was given a yellow liquid > that I had to swish and swallow - I think it may have been nystatin. Guest guest
White vinegar came to mind, but I did hesitate on this for the reason, it is very acidic and could harm your teeth a little. This info came from a doctor, even though he agreed with the white vinegar, but is also why he recommended the peroxide. If I was to use the white vinegar I would rinse after the fact to help prevent any damage to the enamel of your teeth. Guest guest
I'm on nystatin 500,000 IU 2 pills a day and Healthy Trinity probiotics to get rid of the yeasties. You must use a quality probiotic, one that actually sticks to the intestinal wall and does its good. Most just go in one end, help digest what's around and go out the other. And that's from a very reliable source!! --- In , SERENA EDWARDS <pushcrash@y...> wrote: > My daughter has gotten thrush repeatedly from antibiotics.
